Ok, so it’s not exactly “cinco de Mayo”. Yes it’s a little late– but think of it as a longer celebration for cinco de Mayo and here’s a fabulous margarita recipe that has LESS calories (Moms love less calorie cocktails!!) and still tastes fabulous!!
This guilt-free Partida Margarita was created especially for this premium brand. Featuring no garnish, salt or secondary liquor (triple sec, which contains at least 100 calories per ounce), the alcohol and sugar content are lower than traditional margaritas—by as much as 200 calories! Lots of taste, less calories and what a bargain for you!
The agave nectar used is an organic, natural fructose sweetener extracted from the blue agave plant. Sweeter than sugar—with a lower glycemic index rating than sugar, honey or maple syrup—agave nectar is water soluble and readily dissolves in cold beverages so it blends effortlessly in cocktails– which means it stays mixed and doesn’t sink to the bottom or float on the top.

• 1 oz. lime juice (app. the juice from one lime)
• ¾ oz. pure, organic agave nectar
• ¾ oz. pure spring water
• 1.5 oz. Partida Tequila Blanco, Reposado or Añejo
