I love holidays! Why? It’s a great excuse to come up with a reason to mix up some cocktails– whether for 2 or for 20. (pitcher or punches). Here are two recipes from Bacardi that will be PERFECT for Memorial Day and yet be very very different!
BACARDI® Blueberry Lavender Mojito
8-10 mint leaves
1 ½ parts BACARDI® Superior Rum
1 oz lavender syrup
1 oz fresh squeezed lime juice
10-12 blueberries
Pinch of ground cardamom
Club soda
In tall glass, muddle mint leaves, lavender syrup, lime juice, blueberries, pinch of ground cardamom and rum. Muddle just enough to combine flavors, being careful not to over-muddle. Fill glass with crushed ice. Top with club soda. Stir. Garnish with blueberries on a cocktail pick.
BACARDI® PEACH PERFECT
1 ½ parts BACARDI® Superior Rum
1 ½ parts White Peach Puree
½ part fresh lemon juice
¾ part Domaine De Canton Ginger Liqueur
Club Soda
Combine all ingredients in a shaker (except club soda), shake with ice. Pour all contents (including ice) into a long glass. Top with club soda. Garnish with crystallized ginger or raspberries on a cocktail pick.
BACARDI SOLSTICE
1 part BACARDI® Superior Rum
½ parts Ramazzotti Amaro
½ part simple syrup
¼ part fresh-squeezed lemon juice
4 one-inch cubes ripe cantaloupe or Charentais melon
In the bottom of a shaker, muddle melon with simple syrup. Add all other ingredients and ice. Shake very well and strain into chilled cocktail glass. Twist a lemon rind over top.
BACARDI® Heat Wave
2 parts BACARDI® Superior Rum
1 part fresh lime juice
3/4 part Simple Syrup
Muddled Jalapeño
In a shaker, muddle Jalapeño. Add fresh lime juice, simple syrup and rum. Add ice, shake vigorously and strain into a martini glass. Top with soda (to taste). Garnish with floating jalapeño slice.
Now there should be NO complaints about the quality of your drinks and the variety of presentations. Choose two and do them in pitchers and then you will have plenty– unless there are just two of you.. then you can make them up as you like!!
