Finding a bathing suit can be hell for women. It’s the hardest, scariest thing for a woman. Even finding a pair of jeans is easier than a bathing suit– because swimwear exposes more skin!! I don’t like trying on a lot of swimwear unless I am sure it’s going to fit and I really don’t shop in department stores for it — I go swimwear boutiques because they have the best knowledge about sizing which usually means go up a size when trying on a suit. More than just sizing, it’s a personal body shape that needs to have a suit that is authentic to that shape. Once you know the style types that work, choosing color and patterns are the fun part!
Sauipe Swimwear is a relatively new line that has lots of options for all body types plus amazing choices in prints and colors so that you can buy interchangeable pieces that give you a variety of looks– plus some pretty sexy maillot (one-piece) swimsuits! These Brazilian-inspired styles are sure to make the most of what you have and minimize what you don’t.
To help you get an idea of what would work for your body type, Marcia Hacker, Sauipe designer, has selected a few styles that are available in a variety of colors for various body types.
Talk about SEXY!! This suit has all the right elements to catch anyone’s attention and make you look fabulous.
5346 – This one piece works great for a fuller body type. Both the construction (support under the bust, halter top with V-neck that elongates the body) and the print (vertical) gives us the illusion of a taller body type.
This one-piece/maillot smokes!
3027 – another one piece that is great for a fuller body. The bust has draping and very rich grommets that call the attention to the upper body. The bust has soft molded cups and the princess neck line calls attention to the upper part of the body, bringing balance to even the short leg woman. This suit is available in black, and it has been so popular, because it’s like your little black dress.
The all purpose suit or for those with a bit of a pear shape. Retro-inspired with a contemporary presentation, this one is sure to turn heads.
3053/3054 (top/bottom) – This is a great cut for just about anyone, but absolutely perfect for the pear shaped lady and those that want to cover the tummy more. The bottom can be adjusted on the sides, raising the bottom to a high waist or bring is down for a more sexy look. Bandeau top with soft molded cups are wonderful for less busty women because it provides shape, but as you see here, it works great for a size C/D, especially with the removable straps.
The two piece suit that works for a multitude of body-types. This one is amazing because despite providing full coverage, it’s so sexy for a fuller-figure person. It would work on ANYONE!!
5120/5121 – this suit is also great for larger bottoms and busts as well. There is no reason why a fuller body should not wear a bikini. There is full coverage on both top and bottom, adjustable straps, nice detail on the side of the bottom (rust free, heat free, hypoallergenic) that makes sure the bottom stays in place. Great construction.
A one-piece that does it all for almost any body type! This is the suit that definiitely caught my eye.
5456 – one piece that gives nice shape to the body. Similar to 3027, but has a twisted bandeau.
All-purpose suit that works for an array of figure issues including tummy, and bottoms courtesy of the adjustable bottom.
5452/5453 – this bottom in particular is great to conceal a tummy. The high waist is adjustable, draped, and hides the bottom quite well. This top is best for smaller busts.
Jaw-dropping two-piece! works the look to the max.
3044 3045 – a V neck top always elongates the body. And this bottom has very nice coverage for the ladies that have a larger bottom, because it won’t bulge the skin around (there is no trim around the waistline, it is a soft finish that will not mark the skin, and will not let the extra skin fall out.
For those who are on the thinner side of the equation, here are a few suits I picked out to capture your attention.
Montego Bay two piece with ringed bottom

Thank you to Marcia Hacker and Sauipe Swimwear for the tips! Now the hardest thing is not finding the perfect style for your body but to figure out which color and/or print. There are so many options in this brand that I have a hard time picking out what I would wear– as in how many suits does a girl need?
