While we are busy with holiday shopping, what’s going on in the world of security. While we wonder about privacy on Facebook and security in relation to our personal information, there’s also national — and global– security issues that are of paramount importance. Some these same tactics that are used to track terrorists could be applied to track those computer “terrorist”/hackers who try to disrupt what’s going on in the US and global economies.
Listen to what Berkeley Varitronics Systems CEO, Scott Schober has to say about what products his company has created.
Watch him speak here for Fox News about some products.
Now let’s take this a step further. What could be done via these systems to keep our workplaces, and public areas safer?
BVS (Berkeley Varitronics Systems) took this “step” and created a general outreach to businesses and consumers via a unique initiative: the hiring of LA Lakers star Andrew Goudelock as spokesperson for the 4G World Conference in Chicago in October. Part of the “Give BVS a Shot” campaign, Goudelock would engage guests/attendees in discussion and basketball play while give the conference participants an oppotunity to learn more about what this USA-based company with “made in the USA” products and what they can do for various companies in various sectors that reach far beyond DOD, Federal buildings and prisons.
Sounds like we need to stay on top of this company and specifically what it’s doing because there are many security issues that plague the US population that a healthy dose of the security measures might be worthwhile implementing simply because it might improve the the security of our banking system, personal medical information and much more considering the range of technology breaches that have occured in the last 3 + years. Given what I know about security (McAfee Fake Anti-Virus Scareware/Malware Initiative), this is a very serious matter not just for big businesses but smaller businesses and indviduals like you and me!
Just something to think about now that we are in the midst of the shopping and holiday frenzy..
