Lark Lennox — Fashionista and Scam Detective– Strikes Again with Ash Virgin Sneaks!

Here’s why I love Lark Lennox.
1) Lark and I go waaaaaaaaaaay back– back before Facebook, Linkedin– back when there were newsgroups, forums and yahoo groups in abundance that were lively and thriving.
2) Lark has a love of shoes of all types as do I.
3) Lark has a nose for when something doesn’t look or “smell” right. Her fashionista sense of “which one is the real deal” is really acute

I was looking for Ash Virgin Silver sneakers.

I *Googled* Ash Virgin Silver Sneakers. This site clearly represents them as being authentic Ash– including the logo .

The only clue I got was when I tried to register and was told I already had an account. That reminded me that I’d tried to buy the shoes before and at the last moment had a creepy feeling that the shoes were fakes.

Of course it’s misleading. Ash is a brand name; virgin is the style name. There’s nothing on your site that actually says these are not authentic Ash shoes. And when a person is looking for Ash Virgin Silver shoes, they are not looking for “they look just like Ash Virgin Silver Shoes”.

While you have to search diligently to find this information, these shoes — and everything else on the site– are replicas and not clearly stated within the product text. The price is nowhere near the discount one would think a replica would sell for — regardless of being “the king of copies”.

PLUS it is illegal to do this and ship it as a genuine brand product including using the brand’s boxes.

So FBI, FTC, Interpol, USPS, UPS, FEDEX, DHL– do you know this e-commerce store is dealing in counterfeit merchandise — and openly states that it is– providing you can find that comment on the site.
