Hot New Products From Consumer Product Expo: Uber-Larabars & Thermal-aid!

As part of my coverage of Natural Products Expo West, I ran across not only some key brands that I thought were particularly interesting as well as another event that ran concurrently with the Expo called the Consumer Product Events Expo featuring natural, holistic, sustainable products in various sectors. This event was totally separate from the NPEW and here’s a couple of VERY cool things that came out of that I think you should know about particularly since we are going into summmer and you would find them useful during summer travels as well as daily use.

For anyone who works out, you know the likelihood even if you exercise on a regular basis that it’s possible that playing that extra game of tennis or volleyball or swimming with the kids in the pool might make you a bit sore from straining muscles. No need for heating pads that use electricity or using ice which melts and creates a messy situation when you have a Thermal-Aid pad. Available in sizes for adults and children, these heating & cooling packs are amazing because they feature a totally natural way of heating– a special bio-engineered and processed corn product that is the purest portion of the kernal that can be heated in an microwave for 30-45 seconds to get the heat that you might need or put into the freezer for up to 5 hours to get the cold that you need to reduce swelling and inflammation from sprains and strains as well as soothe insect bites and reduce temperatures.
The pads come in four sizes for adults:

Kids get something more kid-friendly and acceptable to them– an adorably huggable (and washable) teddy bear that comes in five colors -each with its’ own name that children can cuddle up to when they need some heat to warm them up or cold to soothe a boo-boo or sunburn.

Let’s not leave out our pets and favorite animals– who might have a strained muscle or gotten hurt in a fall or accident. Thermal-aid even has products for them too. You can find the product on the PETS page of the Therma-aid.com website.

On the flip side of the equation, Larabar has developed another version of their bars that are a “step-up” from the usual Larabar to become a Uber-Larabar. This Uber-Larabar is a really tasty bar with nuts and dried fruit in 4 amazing flavor. (I know! I tasted all of them). Topping out about 200 calories with healthy ingredients you get your choice of 4 great flavors: Apple Turnover, Cherry Cobbler, Bananas Foster and Roasted Nut Roll.

Great for traveling, snacks for kids to adults when life is busy with sports, camp and errands, this is a natural treat that delivers great taste and nutrition .
