AG Goes Solo on a Podcast: New CD & EP; & Readies for a 3 Women Singer/Songwriter East Coast Tour
AG might not be the most well-known as AG but you know her as part of The Rescues. You recently heard my interview with Kyler England (The Spare Key Sessions) as well as Rob and Gabe from The Rescues— and AG is the 4th part of that harmony known as an indie super-group that seemed to break out with their first joint record that even to a label to pick them up- only to circle back and ditch the label mentality/lifestyle because it was not fitting the group or individuals musical sensibilities. However you might know AG as Adrianne Gonzales or maybe not.
But this woman is more than just part of a super group– she’s a gifted singer/songwriter/musician PLUS photographer & artist as well as director. Multi-dimensional doesn’t begin to show off what’s going on inside the head and heart of AG.
When you dig iinto this podcast- -and it’s about 30 minutes, it’s really interesting because AG gives of herself in some small bites and other times she shares a lot. Her life is immersed in her art — whtaever art form she chooses at that moment. How she manages her 12 hour days and a partner too is amazing but she manages to pull it off pretty successfully.
PODCAST with AG
ONe of the most interesting things in the podcast was her discussion of her work with Garrison Star and Maia Sharpt. This trio of strong-willed, sharply-focused women have been working with each other for a while and they are a very collaborative group. The time they are going out on tour to the east coast to promote everyone’s current CD is going to be interesting and deep. If you are here in LA, do check out Room 5 for the date tomorrow night because it’s definitely a HOT ticket and because it’s a small, intimate venue, the music will resonate even more within the room and into your mind, soul and heart. If the name Garrison Starr seems remotely familiar, she’s been part of a couple of CDs with Jay Nash and been featured on the Sun Studio Sessions with him on this blog.

The time I spent with AG on the phone was pretty interesting. I know I talked waaay too much but I got where she is going and how eclectic she is in her work and art. It’s about several things/strings pulling her in different directions at one time and she stays focused on one thing until it gets done and then she moves on. Little did I know that she had so many things going on at one time.
Thank you AG for all the phone time. It was a really interesting conversation.
