Sundance is chock full of celebrities, films, musicians and SNOW! What better way to dash out of the elements and have dinner with some great people like Adrian Grenier and Alessandra Ambrosio. All of course were treated to cocktails that featured spirits like
BRUGAL EXTRA DRY–
A cask-aged white rum that lives up to the dry Brugal house style, Brugal Extra Dry will have you rethinking your idea of rum in general. Brugal’s proprietary double-distillation technique creates a dry and clean spirit with fewer of the heavy alcohols that lend other rums their sweeter profiles. This blend of rums – aged a minimum of two years up to five years in White American Oak casks – is triple charcoal filtered to achieve exquisite clarity and conjures a velvety mouthfeel as a result of an exceptional aging process

Brugal 1888
Brugal 1888 shatters those expectations and is often described more in the terms people use for whisk(e)y than for rum: smooth, rich, full-bodied and far from sweet. You could say it’s the rum for whisk(e)y lovers. While 1888 is meaningfully unlike other aged rums, it’s unmistakably representative of the Brugal house style – dry, not sweet, and with the complex influence that only years of careful cask aging can provide.
This is a sipping rum!
Film: VERY GOOD GIRLS
Cast: Dakota Fanning, Lizzy Olsen, Boyd Holbrook, Peter Sarsgaard, Demi Moore, Ellen Barkin, Clark Gregg, Richard Dreyfuss
The Black Grouse
The Black Grouse is the new blended Scotch whisky from the makers of Scotland’s Favorite Whisky, The Famous Grouse. Deriving its name from one of the rarest animals to fly the sky, The Black Grouse is as rare as the titular bird. Billed as having a distinctive character, this addition to the Grouse family is described as having the richest, smoothest flavor of any blended Scotch; a smooth blend of smoky peated malts and Scotland’s Favorite Whisky. This new blend has garnered attention from whisky professionals and aficionados, having been awarded the Best Premium Blend – Gold Award at the Scotch Whisky Masters 2009
Looks like I have a new batch of rums to work on getting cocktail recipes. The last two are more for sipping like whiskey but still– there are cocktails to be made!

I will try the 1888, as a rum fan. I just started drinking whiskey last year, but rum has always been good to me.
