Target has partnered with Truman Capote’s “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” to spotlight the affordable, on-trend offerings that stock our beauty aisle. Long-standing exclusive beauty partners Sonia Kashuk and Umberto worked alongside the production’s Academy Award-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood to recreate the timeless Holly Golightly makeup and hair look, which was featured in the production artwork and will also be worn on-stage.
“One of the things we love to do at Target is deliver the unexpected, so we’re always looking for new and fresh ways to position our brand,” said Katie Erickson, VP of category marketing at Target. “Holly Golightly is synonymous with style, and by bringing in Sonia and Umberto, we’re able to introduce our brand to new audiences and demonstrate how they can achieve truly stunning looks using Target’s exclusive beauty and hair care lines.”
Emilia Clarke, the 25-year-old “Game of Thrones” actress, plays Capote’s complicated heroine and vivacious party darling. She’ll trade in loin clothes and dragons for pearls and an elegant updo. The brunette beauty certainly looks the part.
Capote’s most famous character sports a style suited to the 1940s—the time period in which his iconic novella is set. The costume designer worked closely with Sonia and Umberto to turn back the clock and transform actress Emilia Clarke‘s Holly Golightly into an iconic 40s beauty.
The trio painted a picture of Miss Golightly with polished, porcelain skin, refined hair and a bold, bright lip. It’s a look that never goes out of style and is as timeless as the character herself.
Below, achieve the same stunning look using Target’s exclusive beauty and hair care lines. The video features both Umberto and Sonia Kashuk’s tips!
