Green Giant Gets Crispy with Snappy New Ranch-Flavor Veggie Tortilla Chips + BBQ Sweet Potato Chips!! #Sponsored!

It’s a cool thing to get selected to test drive something new- -especially in food. While I am typically not a huge chip fan, my family sure is. I knew that someone in my family would love these cool new chips from Green Giant (Yeah!! GREEN GIANT!!) would find a couple of fans at my house.

Little did I know that it would be me. The Significant Other LOVED the Ranch-flavored Tortilla Chips- but those are his go-to snack. He hasn’t met a tortilla chip he doesn’t like (unless it’s stale). My kid loved the Tortilla Chips too and the Sweet Potato Chips with the BBQ flavoring. Little did I know that the Sweet Potato Chips would hit me with a great smokey-sweet bbq taste that resonates and isn’t too salty. Both kinds of chips have a perfect ‘snap’ and they would be gobbled up at any party (so buy twice as much as you think!) Does “Giant Taste” resonate with you? It does with me. Often I find that flavored chips are a bit overwhelming or don’t have that “real deal” taste. Green Giant beats the others to the finish line with a great taste treat that’s crispy, tasty and yet delivers authentic flavors

What I love about the both chips is that they go really well with my two favorite dips:

a mashed black bean dip with a shot of spicy salsa and a sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese(use black refried beans in a pinch)
and my default avocado and chickpea mash-up with a bit of green chile salsa (chunky is good) with some diced tomatoes or red peppers. Whenever I serve this, it’s a winner! This guacamole spin-off works well particularly with the sweet potato chips because I don’t have to use as much spice because the chips have that sweet/smoky flavor that give the dip a bit more bite. Love that!!

This went by pretty fast and I am grateful that I remembered to keep that bags and take some photos BEFORE I shared these with guests.
Wow.. WAY COOL!! Thanks to rave reviews and hungry guys, the chips and dip were gone in less than an hour.

These Green Giant Veggie Tortilla Chips has a real snappy ranch flavor and the smoky/sweet BBQ flavor of the Sweet Potato Chips are my total faves– from one who doesn’t like BBQ flavor– these are a winner to me!! http://clvr.li/12TLSqV

  1. here green giant is best known for corn. I once went to an 8 course sweetcorn lunch that they hosted…

I have to say the chips look a lot more appetising than straight corn does to me now

  2. avocado chickpea combo??? must try. I like to looks of the chips from the Giant, and am always in favor of sweet potato chips..must try also. Thanks, as always for new consumer goods I need to find o the market..

  3. Fiona: the chips are surprisingly good — especially the sweet potato ones.
Pam: the chickpea/avocado dip: chick peas drained out of the can, mashed with an avocado (or use a food processor) for a chunky stage. I add in chopped peppers, onions, olives, cucumber and anything else that looks colorful and bright (corn is good too). There is a lot of protein and antioxidants in this one. It’s goes over really well ( test drove it about 10 x so far.. it never comes home with me)

  4. do check your newspaper inserts for coupons. My stores don’t have these yet. (GRRR HISSS).. I am distinctly not a chip person.. which was why I applied to be the person to review these items. If they can win me over, they are definitely something pretty cool.
