Pioneer DJ Hosts Hot ART MIX Event for Oct Art Walk + Presents CharityBuzz Auction Items for #School Fundraising! #Podcast!
Pioneer Electronics’ DJ Division will be having their second DJ Art Mix event, a unique fundraising program bringing together top global DJs, urban artists and leading lifestyle brands to bring art to the community and support and raise awareness of music education in schools.
This year Pioneer DJ partnered with over 25 of the best DJs, urban artists and major brands (Zedd, Kaskade, NERVO, LRG and Crystal Hefner) to create custom pieces of artwork using Pioneer’s industry standard CDJ-2000nexus as the canvas. Pioneer shared the final participants for the second “Pioneer DJ Art Mix” event, held at The Bank on 401 South Main Street, Los Angeles in conjunction with the Downtown LA Art Walk! (10/10/2013)
Legendary DJs Laidback Luke and Dada Life joined the ranks of Kaskade, Zedd, A-Trak and other world-renowned DJs, urban artists, and companies, to create custom pieces of art using Pioneer’s CDJ-2000nexus as the canvas. Also new to the lineup of participants in this year’s event are Los Angeles-based artists Couto Brothers, Joex2 and Danielle Jade Gonzalez.
Pioneer DJ Art Mix is a unique collaboration with a fund-raising component to benefit the VH1 Save The Music® Foundation, dedicated to restoring music education programs in public schools. Pioneer hopes to encourage the artistic community–both aspirational DJs and other creatives– to share their talent while giving back to the community. This program is a great example of a unique way brands and artists alike are working together to ensure the survival of music programs and other creative outlets.
