Catch up to this folk+ country+ pop/indie duo hitting the Hotel Cafe this coming Tuesday! Definitely a great sound and a worthwhile trip over to the Hotel for a Tuesday evening out. Love their use of piano and the harmony of their voices!
Sounding like a concoction of The Civil Wars, Colbie Caillat and Jason Mraz, The ROAMies marry hooky melodies, soulful harmonies, and eclectic instrumentation into a pop-meets-country/Americana sound that embodies their “hope that people will connect and feel that they’re not alone in their lives and experiences.”
Born out of audience response to the chemistry of husband and wife team Rory Partin and Alexa James, the L.A.-based duo is already starting to gain critical acclaim, winning the award for Best Theme Song for a Comedy at the 2013 L.A. Webfest.
The ROAMies will be returning to the venue where they made their live debut when they perform at Hotel Café on December 3rd. A debut album and European tour will follow in 2014.
