Pre-Oscar Preview: How to Get Ready for Oscar’s Winners + Losers and Watching the Oscar Show!
The easiest and most fun ways to be ready for Oscar night is to make sure you see all the movies!
WAIT!!! I am not suggesting you go to the movies every day or night for a week and spend all that money on movies and popcorn!
What I am suggesting is that you gather up some BFF’s and everyone sign up for 1-2 movies for Best PICTURE, rent them, watch them and then share them with everyone else.
The agreement between everyone is that you turn around the movies in no more than 2 days so that at least 2 other people can see those other 2-4 movies and then the last person hands them back to person #1 for returning to the store.
Otherwise one can do a PPV on the movies on cable or satellite to be prepped for the Oscars!
In case you can’t see all the movies– or any of the movies– why not catch a bit of it on youtube.com.
Here are a series of carefully chosen trailers for all the BEST PICTURE nominees.
Dallas Buyers Club
12 Years a Slave
The Wolf of Wall Street
No matter how you see these movies, do plan on getting together for a Oscar Viewing party– with everyone bringing a food dish to share. Have everyone pick a category of food dish from entree, appetizer to dessert (and don’t forget beverages) to bring. It doesn’t have to be homemade– just has to be ready to eat with minimal reheat time.
The Oscars are just 7 days away!! *(next Sunday at 3 PM PT)
