Grey Goose Gives You an Assist in Celebrating “Derby Day’ on May 3: A Cocktail with Kick!

It’s Kentucky Derby time and what better way to celebrate– even if you can’t jet into Louisville, then to watch this amazing horserace with friends and toast to the winners and commiserate with the losers.

This year GREY GOOSE will be taking the Kentucky Derby activation to the next level by partnering with six-time champion and leading American Thoroughbred horse trainer, Todd Pletcher.

The simple mention of the name Todd Pletcher in the world of Thoroughbred racing causes heads to turn. At just 42 years old, he has overcome adversity and established himself as one of the youngest and most prolific trainers in history, earning him the nickname “The King”. GREY GOOSE Vodka will raise a toast to Todd Pletcher at this year’s Kentucky Derby with a nobly inspired, hand-crafted cocktail known as “All the Kings Horses”. The cocktail will be served throughout The Kentucky Derby and is a refreshing combination of GREY GOOSE Vodka’s newest expression, Le Melon, mixed with a unique blend of muddled jalapeño, freshly squeezed grapefruit and lemon juices, a hint of St-Germain liqueur’s floral sweetness, and a splash of soda.

All the Kings Horses

All-The-Kings-Horses---GREY

Ingredients
1 ½ oz GREY GOOSE Le Melon Vodka

1 oz fresh grapefruit juice

1 oz St-Germain

1 oz fresh lemon juice

1 Jalapeño

Soda

Preparation
• Muddle 1 slice jalapeño in a shaker

• Add remaining ingredients and shake vigorously

• Strain into a Collins glass filled with fresh ice and top with soda and jalapeño garnish

This cocktail has a fruity touch with the vodka and also a bit of St Germaine balanced by the heat of the jalapeno that provides just the right kick to the cocktail. It’s a perfect blend for spring gatherings and celebrations!

For those who want to celebrate at a different level but don’t want to fight with delays or TSA, check out this amazing opportunity at the VICEROY Hotel in Palm Springs. It’s a great day trip OR to make this a memorable overnight!
