Here’s an inspiring new initiative created by a coalition of musicians, singer/songwriters and bands who have taken a stand against bullying called: The Band Together to Banish Bullying Project, which has come-up with a vignette of compelling stories featuring some well-known musicians!
Clinton Sparks, (Grammy award-winning producer, DJ, and recording artist), share’s his story of being a victim of bullying.
The Mowgli’s (California-based band dedicated to spreading a message of hope, positivity and love through their music), shares a similar message.
Kylie Morgan who rose to fame with her hit song “Phoebe,” based on the true story of a young girl who was bullied so severely that she took her own life.
This unique project is intended to encourage teens and those affected by bullying to work together with three of today’s top musical artists to turn the pain of bullying into something positive.
The program encourages teens to submit their own experiences with bullying, which can be anything from a picture, a poem or a video.
Submissions are open from now until 7/25/14.The three artists (Morgan, The Mowglis and Sparks) will gather all submissions and work together to write a brand-new song inspired by the stories. The song and accompanying music video will be released at the end of September, just in time for National Bullying Awareness Month.
This is a joint effort sponsored by the makers of Epiduo Gel and the Pacer National Bullying Prevention Center.
Check out this page (yes I know it’s a youtube page)! It has ALL the information on the wall for you to read tweets, get information on methods for submission and WHERE and HOW to submit your entries!
Band Together to Banish Bullying!
I hope many will participate in this initiative. This is a serious issue that must be addressed on every level. How do I know it’s serious? I was bullied too.

This is a good effort to combat what seems to be growing…the bullying is out of control fro teens now, and creativity is a sensible way to help defeat this problem..good idea.
