I love to get insight from celebrity makeup artists on how they do someone’s makeup. While I don’t always have the same skintone or ability to wear those colors, I like that I can wrap my brain around the technique and see how it would work for me.
I love that Chanel is so predominant for red carpet events and in this instance celebrity makeup artist Jillian Dempsey is sharing the makeup choices for Kristen Stewart and her technique on how she uses products. I find it really interesting to learn how and why products texture and also the use of color makes — or breaks– a look. Chanel is the predominant line being used for this event.

Inspiration: My inspiration for Kristen’s makeup came from her new haircut, along with her short beaded dress. I wanted to play up her eyes, so I went for an edgy, sultry vibe by mixing charcoals and a shimmery aquamarine shade.
Foundation:
CHANEL Perfection Lumière Long-Wear Flawless Fluid Sunscreen Makeup SPF 15 in 40 Beige was used as the base
and then I followed with CHANEL Lift Lumière Smoothing and Rejuvenating Eye Contour Concealer under her eyes.
To give her a clean, smooth look, I finished with a light application of CHANEL Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Color Powder in No. 20.
Blush:
On her cheekbones, I gently brushed CHANEL Powder Blush in Fandango and
to contour I used the middle shade from CHANEL Limited Edition Les Beiges Healthy Glow Multi-Colour SPF 15 in No. 01.
Eyes:
I started by covering her lid with the off-black shade from the CHANEL Quadra Eye Shadow in Smoky Eyes.
Then in the outer corners of her eyes I applied the dark, shimmery teal shade from CHANEL Quadra Eye Shadow in Fascination.
Next, I used the lightblue/green shade from the same palette for the inner corners and lower lash line of her eyes.
I used Jillian Dempsey Khol Eyeliner in Jet Black along her upper lash line and blended it towards the outer corners of her eyes.
I curled her lashes and then applied several coats of Le Volume de Chanel Mascara in Noir to the top and bottom lashes, making special emphasis on the top outer lashes.

Brows:
To define her eyebrows, I used CHANEL Crayon Sourcils Sculpting Eyebrow Pencil in Brun Cendré.
Lips:
CHANEL Precision Lip Definer in Beige Satin was used to line her lips and I then applied CHANEL Limited Edition Rouge Allure Luminous Intense Lip Colour in Précieuse.
