Give Your Thanksgiving a Little Spice, Brine and Pop! #foodie #gifts

I am writing about COOKING for Thanksgiving and other holidays and events. The recommendations made by me are not just for Thanksgiving though. There are items that can be used almost every day. There is an array of items that make for great gifts too for any time of year.

I had discovered Urban Accents about 3-4 years ago when I was in New York to visit a friend. We went shopping to an outlet mall and I found Urban Accents at a cooking store.
I bought just one, based on the image of brussel sprouts that looked FABULOUS. While we made a lot of food from scratch in the little burg I was visiting, the package sat in my spice drawer until I got in the food to revisit the brussel sprouts again courtesy of stalks of sprouts being on sale at my local market! I found the Urban Accents to be such a great addition to my kitchen repertoire! The Basalmic Vinegar and Roasted Onion flavor was awesome for brussel sprouts as well as when I used it when I was cooking fish, asparagus and roasted potatoes!

So when I connected with the brand’s PR they were pleased to know I knew about their brand and thought highly of it. They were kind enough to send some samples my way for me to test drive new tastes!

Want to know more about Urban Accents? Here’s the scoop!

The Urban Accents Philosophy:
Urban Accents is a Chicago-based, flavor-forward seasoning brand that celebrates bringing good food and good friends together. They offer accessible, all natural global blends to those who seek to experiment with world flavors and create dishes inspired on the Food Network by their favorite celebrity chefs. Its designed to be delicious and stylish not only about cooking, but also about experimenting, entertaining and a return to flavor at home.

You can buy these products online but if you are in a hurry (with a couple of short days till Thanksgiving, who isn’t in a hurry?), you can track stores near you via their store locator. I found at least 8 stores carry this product including Vons, Albertsons, Cost Plus Markets, Kohls, Sprouts, Honeybaked Hams, and Omaha Steaks. So it should be local to you at some point. Definitely worth purchasing online for their sale and discounts on glazes and rubs for ham, turkey, pork and more for the holiday season-ing. *pun intended, sorry!*

Thanks to the PR company representing Urban Accents for providing me with samples more than sufficient to review and test out. Samples do not impair my reviews; they make the reviews possible. They have no impact on the result of the reviews other than allowing me to review products I might not otherwise have a chance to review!

  1. The salt collection is lovely. This is just the kind of thing i like to buy for a treat, because you get to use it for such a long time. The blends sound very diverse, so you could suit any mood when cooking. Fun!

  2. I agree Pam. It’s such a great way to do something different with food. I have 2 different kinds of sea salts.. (pink and coconut) and I use the with fish, chicken and other meats.
