I am a huge skincare junkie. I have tried a lot of different products in the last 10+ years. I sometimes have temperamental skin and even products I have used before can make my skin “react”. Like every good “lemming”, I keep reading labels looking for what could be the next really useful product that won’t irritate my skin. It was with some care that I chose to review this product, Age-Defying Retinol Serum . I have had issues with retinols before causing dry, flaky skin- a known side effect of the class. Somehow I thought this serum would be different.

While I looked at that description, it sounded good. I just hoped it would be as good as it sounds. I got my bottle of the “Age-Defying Retinol Serum” and was very pleased to see the ingredient list

This list above has ingredients highlighted by me. Why? Because these are amazing ingredients are are highly active. That’s not to say that there isn’t synergy between the ingredients, there is. However until I learn the full synergistic effect, I only illustrate what I know to be a really great ingredient. What I saw when I was done with it, was that this was full of “actives” (which I love) and has almost no filler in it. In other words, you are getting better ingredients than most higher end products out there in the skincare marketplace.
This list had me feeling pretty good about my skin because the quantity of organics and botanicals was significant enough to make a huge difference in the way the retinol and the AHAs act.
The only way to prove my theory was to try the retinol. And I have to say I was really glad I did. I have had no negative reactions. My ski loves this stuff. The serum plays well with other “treatments” but I choose to put this on first either at night, daytime or both. As long as I use sunblock during the day, I am good to go. I find that this doesn’t have problems with my makeup either which is often a common problem with some retinol products. This serum is light and silky and it is quickly absorbed. It is not oily or sticky. It’s unlike anything else I have seen in the skincare market.
Skincare is only as good as its results. This retinol serum is pretty cool. I used it all over my face. It can be used for a spot application but I figured a bit more is “more”. I saw marks left from some acne disappearing. I have pigmentation issues fading too. My lines aren’t as prominent and it feels good on my skin. It seems to be really compatible with my often temperamental skin. I have stopped it for 2-3 weeks without any problems and restarted it again and still seeing good results and no irritation at all.
My results (and skincare is a case of YMMV (your mileage may vary!)
a reduction in pigmentation spots due to lots of sun exposure and acne breakouts.
a reduction in my break-outs as a whole (meaning I had less of them).
a reduction in the appearance of fine lines around the eyes and forehead!
a glow return to my skin– which I haven’t seen in a while.
This Age-Defying Retinol Serum is REALLY great!
It is also extremely affordable and can be purchased for less than $25 at the InstaNatural website. It is also available on Amazon.com for the same price. That said, I do not assume that prices will remain that level in the future. My suggestion is to buy a bottle and try it and see how it works for you!

retinol serums really do work I think! I haven’t ever seen them so keenly priced either
I have seen some pricy products in this category but generally speaking they all work pretty well the same except via the strength1
Thanks for the great information to reduce aging. Believe it or not, us guys worry about it sometimes too. I wish there were more products out there for men.
Brad, This product is a unisex product. It can be used by men. That’s what men should be looking at…. (or ask the woman in their life to help them)
when they need products for hair, skin or shaving. Women are good about shaving despite they don’t shave their faces. However there are many men’s lines out there from 3Labs and many others that have products specifically for men. Circle back to me via my website email if you want more recommendations. The packaging is very much geared to men and
with often stronger or more of the active ingredients without being foo-foo.
