People love to get close to their pets but what about their breath? What’s a good way to freshen a dog or a cat’s breath?
Beyond being unpleasant and downright smelly, your pet’s bad breath could be a warning sign for more serious health issues and problems for them. More than 90% of dogs over age 3 suffer from dental disease!
February was National Pet Dental Health Month.. and while this is now March, it’s still a great time to start protecting your pet’s healthy by getting into the habit of checking your animal’s teeth. Dr. Andrea Sanchez, DVM shares her information and lots of great tips on about this issue and other questions (listed below) on behalf of Banfield Veterinary Hospitals (She is in Texas) and also GREENIES brand! Both are part of Mars Incorporated!
I have had dogs forever (along with other critters like rats, goldfish, hamsters, tropical fish and more) but I had no idea for a long time that one needed to take care of your dog and/or cat’s teeth. Now I do know that and it’s a daunting task. Can you imagine trying to get your cat to say “ah” when you want to brush their teeth? I thought it sounded weird and it’s flat out not easy. How to deal with this situation? Dr. Andrea Sanchez is here to speak about what we can do!
1) What are some of the diseases dogs can contract with poor oral hygiene?
2) What are some of the symptoms of these diseases and how does poor oral health affect our pets?
3) As a vet, what do you recommend pet owners do to help their dog or cat’s dental health?
4) Where can people learn more about dental care for their pets?
Greenies are a great treat for any dog because it tastes good, helps clean a dog’s teeth and it freshens their breath!
(This video was not a sponsored event for me. I was not paid to post it nor did I get any dog supplies)
