I think Sherry Lee brings a lot to the fashion table when one looks at Coachella. Lucky for me too since I asked her to pick out some favorite items for Coachella that are perfect for plus-size women but also great style influences for anyone wanting to get a sharp look or two going for a 3-day weekend (or more) at Coachella. Here are Sherry Lee’s picks and a few comments.
Coachella is just around the corner and it’s time to start packing. Though looking fabulously fashionable is key, practicality is important too. Indio, California is beautiful, sunny and warm, so with that in mind, here is my must have list for Coachella 2015.
1) A well fitting denim jacket.
You’ll need to slip this on in the evening when it cools down. (Sherry’s not kidding!)
(City Chic. citychiconline.com)($63)
2) FRINGE! A must have for festival season. I love a fringe kimono; conformable, cool and oh so fashionable!
(ASOS Curve. ASOS.com)
(Such a great choice and perfect for Coachella)
3) Boots. Protect your toes and complete your look in a nice low heel boot.
(In case you don’t want to burn a hole in the piece of plastic AKA credit card, check with 6PM.com for
these boots from Madden Girl or Steve Madden. The Steve Madden’s are real leather; Madden Girls are synthetic.)
4) Denim shorts. Leave the jeans at home and go for an easier look in a pair of slightly distressed shorts.
5) Floppy brim hat. Top off your look and protect your beautiful face from the sun.
(Rachel Zoe. QVC.com) (available in burgundy too!)
What to leave at home… Heels, heavy layers and overdone hair!
Great suggestions here for anyone (plus size or not) if you are heading to Coachella. Many thanks to Sherry Lee for great picks for working the festival fashions!
