I learned about eb5 skincare products via email! The interesting part about this line is that it’s the “original wrinkle cream”:

eb5 traces its roots back to 1904 when pharmacist Samuel Heldfond opened the Heldfond Drug Co. in Portland, Oregon. I am often skeptical and so I checked it out– and they ARE the original modern day wrinkle cream. It has been updated often since it’s creation in 1980 and this formula has been patented and is carried by many department stores where it sells at a brisk pace- for years!

I do have questions about parabens, mineral oil (these two ingredient has proponents on the positive and negative side. People can be allergic to parabens and if you are, you should try this carefully. Mineral oil-use it based on your educated decision) and propylene glycol (humectant and preservative). I will say this: this product has been made for a very long time. This goes back to the 1960’s when Robert Helfond was creating this cream for a local Portland hospital. While I am posing questions about these 3 ingredients, this product has a history as a great anti-aging skincare product!

Review

While I have been posting all this, I have also been trying this cream (for weeks!) I have tried this cream for about 2 weeks solid; then stopped for a week to see if there was fall-out; then restarted the regimen. It’s been an interesting trial.
— I love the texture of this cream. Unlike many other creams out there, this is light and fluffy and absorbs quickly. There is no greasy residue on the skin. It makes a great primer too!

— There are no fragrance to this cream. It smells neutral to my discerning nose.

— Twice I have used this for at least 2 weeks, then stopped it and started it again. It left my skin soft and hydrated. I no longer had to worry about layering on other creams to moisturize; this one did the trick. That meant I could ditch other creams and “hydrating” serums that clearly weren’t working!

— I like what I see. While not much has happened with the lines around my eyes, the skin is softer on my face and it has an improved texture. The lines on the forehead and nasolabial folds are fading faster.

— I like that my skin seems to have some resilience.
It’s a winner in my book.
