Kate Mara was a busy girl at the Toronto International Film Festival. (TIFF) She looked serene and gorgeous — powerful weapons on the red carpet– for “MAN DOWN” Kate wore a Marc Jacobs black broderie anglaise gabardine V neck dress with an organza insert and embellishment from the Resort collection to the premiere of “Man Down” at the Toronto International Film Festival on Tuesday, September 15, 2015.
Celebrity makeup artist Coleen Campbell-Olwell prepped Kate Mara for the premiere of Man Down at the Toronto International Film Festival on Tuesday using Orlane Products.
“Kate is wearing a sophisticated sexy black Marc Jacobs, so we used that as inspiration for her fresh skin and bold eyes.
I started with the Orlane Oxygenation System on freshly clean skin. I love to rub it between my fingers to warm it up and dab it onto her skin. It gives an instant red carpet glow that you don’t always get with a moisturizer. Then I used the Orlane Super Moisturizing Light Cream to hydrate the skin, I wanted to really take care of her skin this week since she has been traveling a lot. I love to apply the Orlane Super Light Moisturizing Cream with a damp beauty blender sponge; it stays on so when I apply the foundation it mixes with the cream. I mix Orlane Teint Absolu Treatment Foundation #11 and #12 in order to keeps her skin luminous. I spend a lot of time on highlighting the skin.
I then powdered the t zone with the Orlane Poudre Libre Translucent for a velvety finish and then I went in with the Orlane Bronzer. I like the fact that the bronzer is matte and can give a light contour under the cheekbones. I highlight the cheeks with Antonym blush in copper- I love the three different colors of the copper with the peach rose and gold that gives a mosaic look that can be interchanged with lipstick.
We did the eyes stronger tonight and the lip softer, to compliment her posh dress. I filled in her eyebrows to frame her eyes with the Diorshow Browstyler in Universal Brown. We did a slightly smokey eye but in reverse
The final touch for her bold eyes was of course my kit staple, Orlane Volume Care Mascara. Because I used liner only on her waterline, I needed those lashes full and long to give a dramatic effect.
Lastly we wanted the lips to look smooth and natural with the Orlane Lip Conditioner Magnificent. Her natural color is so pretty but I just wanted to add a touch of Nars Descanso lip pencil.
She looked really polished on the red carpet.
