Halloween Looks So Easy, It’s Scary!
Quick How-Tos from Southern California’s Beauty Collection
Halloween is only a few more days away, which means for those who haven’t come up with a costume yet: Now is the time to do so!
Effortlessly pull off Halloween with no real costumes required using these tried and true Halloween makeup looks by Beauty Collection Specialist Ruby Bonilla. No complicated makeup tricks here, just treats!

OLD HOLLYWOOD
1. Apply Jane Iredale’s Dream Tint to get that ethereal lit-from-within glow.
2. Define the brows with Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Soft Brown.
3. Gently sweep “Oyster” from Jane Iredale’s Daytime Eyeshadow Kit all over the eyelid.
4. Emphasize the crease with “Cappuccino” and “Dark Suede” from the same palette.
5. Draw a dramatic winged liner using Laura Geller’s Eye Calligraphy Classic Tip.
6. Brush lashes upwards with Jane Iredale’s Longest Lash Mascara in Black Ice.
7. Line the lips using Laura Geller’s Pout Perfection Lip Liner in “Ruby,” a deep, intense red.
8. Fill in the lips with Jane Iredale’s LipFixation in “Passion,” a classic and long-wearing crimson shade.
9. Finish off by lightly contouring under the cheekbones with Jane Iredale’s So Bronze in #2.
Ms. Purrfect
1. Moisturize and even out the skin with Jane Iredale Glow Time Full Coverage BB Cream.
2. Lightly define the brows with Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Soft Brown.
3. Starting from the inner corner, draw a thick winged-line using Gorgeous Cosmetics iink Liquid Eye Pencil in Carbon Black.
4. For a wide-eyed look, lengthen the lashes using Jane Iredale Longest Lash in Black Ice.
5. Using the same liquid eyeliner:
Lightly dot and flick thin whiskers on both sides of the area between your nose and mouth.
b. Draw a circle on the tip of the nose and fill it in.
c. Draw a thick line bridging the nose and the top of the lip.
d. Line and fill in the lips, using a clear gloss to add moisture and dimension.
6. Finish off with contouring the hollows under your cheeks with Jane Iredale’s So Bronze in #2.
VAMPIRA
1. Cover the face with a full-coverage foundation 1-2 shades lighter than your natural skin tone such as Jane Iredale’s Glow Time BB Cream.
2. Exaggerate the brows past the outer corners of eyes with Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Dark Brown.
3. Using a pointed eyeshadow brush, start a smoky eye by applying a rich matte black shade such as Jane Iredale’s Pure Pressed Shadow in “Ebony” all around the eyes.
4. To add dimension, apply Jane Iredale’s Pure Pressed Shadow in “Shady Lady,” a velvety gray-brown, outside the black shadow. Lightly blend with a blending brush.
5. Finish off the eyes with Jane Iredale’s Longest Lash Mascara in “Black Ice.”
6. Line the lips using Gorgeous Cosmetics iink Liquid Eye Pencil in “Carbon Black.”
7. Fill in the lips with Jane Iredale Lip Fixation in “Passion.” Blend liner with lip color and lightly smudge around the lips to achieve a “bloodthirsty” look.
8. Lightly draw a dark contour using Gorgeous Cosmetics iink Liquid Eye Pencil and blend out using fingertips.
9. Dust a highly iridescent highlighter/luminizer all over face, top of cheekbones, and the tip of the nose.
10. For a more compelling effect, rock some fake fangs!
