Ingredients / Equipment
2 Sweet Potatoes (cut lengthwise into spears)
12 oz Ground Beef
1 Packet Tessemae’s Lemon Garlic (3 tbsp)
1 packet Tessemae’s Slow Roasted Garlic (3 tbsp)
1 Small Avocado
6 leaves leafy lettuce (3 oz)
1 Packet Tessemae’s Ketchup (3 tbsp)
Equipment
Coarse Salt & Ground Pepper
Large Rimmed Baking Sheet
Mixing Bowl
Large Cast Iron Skillet, Nonstick Skillet or Grill Pan
Tongs
Paring Knife
Foil Wrap
Directions
Bake Sweet Potato Fries (Sweet Potatoes, Lemon Garlic, salt and pepper)
Heat Oven to 400 degrees
Spread potatoes on a large rimmed baking sheet. Toss with 1 packet Lemon Garlic and season with salt and pepper.
Bake until browned underneath and tender, about 15 minutes. Turn over, and bake until browned on other side, 5-10 minutes more.
Prepare the Burgers (ground beef and Lemon Garlic)
Add ground beef and lemon garlic to mixing bowl. Mix together with your hands. Divide mixture into 2 equal pieces.
Shape each portion into a large burger patty. Season with salt and pepper.
Cook the Burgers
Heat a skillet to medium-high.
Cook burger patties to medium, about 3 minutes per side.
Slice avocado.
Put it all together!
To serve:
Divide lettuce between two plates. Place a burger on each. Top with avocado slices. Place fries alongside. Service with ketchup for dipping.
*Pro tip:
Love crispy baked fries? Soak your potato spears in ice water for 30 minutes, then pat dry. Soaking potatoes draws out the excess starch, which helps them cook through. It’s the secret to fries that are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
