Beer Cocktails? Samuel Adams Launches New Juiced Beers: Rebel Juiced IPA!

Have you heard about beer cocktails? Gastropubs in Southern California are picking up this new trend fast and are jumping on this trend of getting creative with brews!
Wait!!! You mean you don’t know about beer cocktails? Check out this new trend that has beer bars and gastropubs expanding their offerings and keeping you in your chair longer.

Beer cocktails are similar to regular cocktails: the cocktails are blended with a creative use of mixes and beers to create a more flavorful cocktail. Typically the brews used to create these beers aren’t super dark or heavy. They are lighter in flavor and creating a flavor profile that will have you sipping longer! While additional spirits might be added to the cocktail, the beer is the key alcoholic element and the other spirits are to create a flavor balance.

Disclosure: Samuel Adams was kind enough to provide me a couple of bottles of their latest Rebel beer, REBEL JUICED IPA for my review. I do appreciate getting these samples since it’s hard to write about a brew one hasn’t tried!

From the Samuel Adams brand:

Well-known Boston beer brand, Samuel Adams has created a juiced beer or what I would call a cocktail in a bottle. Rebel Juiced IPA is a very flavorful mango + beer beverage. It’s flavor profile starts when you take the first whiff of this great beverage just after opening. The fruity scent starts off with mango and then evolves into other tropical fruits. The taste of it is fabulous — with what the Samuel Adams people call a juicy, citrusy hops meets mango. While I am not a big IPA fan, I LOVE this one! It’s also great for the guy who wants a tasty IPA that’s a bit on the lighter side of things.

We all know there ain’t no brunch like a boozy brunch but have you ever tried passing on the classic mimosa or bloody mary for, say, a beer cocktail?

No seriously, hear me out. Sam Adams has just released a mango-infused IPA called Rebel Juiced whose tropical, juicy flavors in a well-mixed brunch cocktail will rival any bottomless mimosa.
