Did you know about World Gin Day? No?? That’s ok, neither did I! We can celebrate this great day together. Because you heard about it here first, you actually have time to head to your local supermarket, wine and spirits purveyor or state store for the fixings for a great cocktail or two.
Not just any gin will do! You need to get a brand that’s got a real bead on gin- like NOLET’s Dry Gin! Thanks to NOLET’s Gin, I have a couple of winner cocktail recipes to share for your weekend cocktails.
Love in a Mist
Ingredients:
1.5 oz NOLET’S Silver Gin
0.5 oz lemon juice
0.5 oz pineapple juice
0.5 oz Blanc Vermouth
0.25 oz spiced hibiscus syrup*
*Made using an Orange Oleo-Saccharum Base
Aromatized black lime-peppercorn tincture (expressed on top)
Method:
Shake all ingredients except black-lime peppercorn tincture with ice,
Strain into a tulip glass.
Express the tincture over the top.
Garnish half the rim with cornflower and rose petal.
NOLET’s Basil Smash
Ingredients:
1.25 oz NOLET’S Silver Gin
0.75 oz Simple Syrup
1 oz Lemon Juice
Basil Leaves
Method:
Muddle basil with simple syrup and lemon juice in a mixing tin.
Add NOLET’S Silver, ice and shake well.
Strain into an ice-filled rocks glass.
Garnish with a basil leaf.
