This is part 2, which features what I have infused and what it was like to create these infusions.
The hardest part of infusing was selecting the spirits to infuse. With so many brands in my bar as well as ones in the store that I wanted to try, I spent more than an hour figuring out which brands I would use. That didn’t include the shopping I had to do to get some gin since I had none!

The point of this post and the previous one was to tell you about the infusions and how easy it is to create these infused spirits. I appreciate the rokz company samples and it helps me to authentically tell you how easy it is to create infused spirits!
Gin + Tonic rokz infusion + Astral Pacific Gin
Astral Pacific Gin was created by Miller Duvall and Morgan McLachlan.

Mojito rokz infusion + Santa Teresa 1796 Ron Antiguo de Solera Rum Venezuela

rokz Margarita infusion + Alacran Reposado Tequila
Alacran Reposado Tequila is no stranger to this blog. I love this tequila brand because it has exceptional quality– which is what I want when I drink tequila. The reposado adds depth to the margarita– making sipping more pleasurable. It provides the edge you want your Margarita cocktail to have– whether blended or on the rocks.
Each cocktail has different lengths of time for infusing. The longest was 5 days, the shortest was 2 days. I was lucky to have extra space in a refrigerator in the garage that made it easy to do the blending (mixing the infusions by shaking the bottles) without too much bother. This happened to be my husband’s favorite task.

I love how vibrant the colors are and how good they look. They smell even better since the infusion material in each bottle has herbs and other ingredients that have flavors that develop well in alcohol. You really should try these great infusions. Giving someone a couple of infusion bottles would make a nice hostess gift– particularly if you can pass along a request to be invited when they start drinking it because you are excited to know what spirit brands they chose to use. If you want to give a special someone a great gift, you could give them 2-4 of these bottles and at least one bottle of spirits that you think is particularly great.
