Contributor Elisabeth Collazos has been super-busy trendspotting and scoping out new fashion and beauty lines. Elisabeth is sharing her latest “find”–a brand new line of skincare & beauty products called C’est Moi Beauty. This line is all-natural and is targeted for teens and tweens! (OK, it’s targeted for those two age groups, but that doesn’t mean YOU can’t try it too.)
Recently, I had the exciting opportunity to attend the Indie Beauty Expo at the California Market Center in downtown Los Angeles. The Indie Beauty Expo is an incredible showcase and platform to recognize and display independent beauty, wellness, and lifestyle brands, and celebrate the growth and success of the entrepreneurs behind them. Charmed PR (headed by Robin Doyle) told me about this new line that had just launched: C’est Moi. This new brand is a division of JAKKS Pacific and is based in Santa Monica, CA.
(Cleanse, Moisturize, Protect)
C’est Moi is a teen/tween beauty and skincare line specially made for anyone eight years and up. The products are for young, delicate skin types. Since I have a thirteen-year-old daughter, I could not wait to learn more about the brand and test the products together. As the C’est Moi booth was bursting with energy, Jada Taylor and Emma Saul (the beautiful C’est Moi teen models) greeted me and gave a fantastic tutorial. Emma and Jada answered every question that I had.

The mission for C’est Moi products is innovation: Clean Ingredients and Formulated for Safety.
A symbol for youth, C’est Moi (pronounced, “say-mwah,” French for “It’s Me”) is for young, delicate skin types. At C’est Moi, they created gentle products for fresh faces, providing a simple, clean, and safe solution to help soothe, protect and balance the skin. The brand uses natural ingredients within its formulas which include organic, natural, and plant-derived ingredients in addition to some of the safer synthetic ingredients. Currently, C’est Moi products can be purchased in the USA at Cestmoi.com and Target.com (the link takes you to the C’est Mois listing page!).
Their branding message is empowering. C’est Moi aims to inspire and support youth to discover and embrace who they are. The brand stands behind ‘beauty from within.” Welcome to the new generation of beautiful! Since the line is about teens, I wanted to get a “teen take” on it. Jada Taylor and Emma Saul are the brand representatives/models for the line, and they were informative, lovely, and gave me individual opinions on their experience with various C’est Moi products.

Emma Saul:
Favorite Products: The moisturizer, definitely the mascara, and the cleanser.
What does do you love most about the brand?
What I respect most about C’est Moi as a whole is that I know what I’m putting on my skin and face with these products are clean and safe.
How has your experience been with the brand, C’est Moi?
The experience of modeling for the company has been so great and an excellent learning process! I have loved every minute of it because it was so fun and exciting. Also, since I genuinely like I the products, that made the experience even better.
Jada Taylor:
Favorite Products: The makeup wipes and the sunscreen because the makeup wipes get ALL the makeup off. Also, the C’est Moi wipes do not leave my skin dry, which I love! I like the sunscreen because it goes on smoothly and doesn’t leave a residue behind. It absorbs into my skin, unlike other brands that I have used.
How has your experience been modeling for C’est Moi?
My experience so far with the brand has been incredible! The products are great and seem to be working for me! I’m glad there is finally a beauty line for girls my age! I look forward to more of their products dropping in the fall.
What do you feel you have learned working with C’est Moi
Working with the brand has taught me so much about hard work and just finding what you love to do and going for it. Working with Jen (the creator) is impressive, and I look up to her. She’s such a hard worker and a great entrepreneur. Just seeing her talk to so many people about her brand was inspiring and I’m glad that I got to experience that first hand. She put so much into C’est Moi and to see it come alive was super exciting. Honestly, I’m just grateful to have been a part of the journey.

I wanted to get an opinion of two teens who are not as familiar with the line, but were very excited to try it.
Avery Hebert is fourteen, lives in the south, and experiences a very humid climate on a daily basis.
Avery individually tested the cosmetics, and the result was gorgeous. Her overall look produced a very natural, “barely there,” and an effortless finish.
Overall, Avery enjoyed all the products because they were so natural in look and texture compared to other products she has tried. Two of her favorites were the eyeshadow and cheek palettes. Avery felt that they were easy to blend and the colors were beautiful. She enjoyed the makeup crayon but noted that she would not use it in her everyday look. Avery is also a believer in the company mission that inner beauty enhances the outer aesthetic. Overall, “I thought the products felt great on my skin and are very lightweight,” said Hebert. Avery noted that they did not look cakey when you apply them to the skin.

Katie Collazos is thirteen, lives in LA, and spends a lot of time outdoors playing sports.
Katie tried the moisturizer and the cleansing gel since she knows cleansing and hydrating on a daily basis is critical to healthy skin. Katie found them both to be lightweight and loved that she was applying natural ingredients to her skin. There were no breakouts with the gel. Katie also felt that her skin looked brighter after a week of using the moisturizer.
Clean.Gentle.Simple
Overall, C’est Moi is a fantastic skincare and beauty line. It’s an ingenious concept. Teens and tweens are lucky to have access to a beauty brand that inspires girls to “Discover What They Are Made Of”, to embrace their individuality, and to be proud of who they are.
