Nothing is better in the summer than ripe watermelon! I personally love watermelon because it is light in flavor, juicy, often very cool (due to refrigeration after cutting it open) and refreshing! Now up the ante of your cocktails by using watermelon as a key ingredient in creating a super-fresh, super-tasty cocktail to have at home or share with friends. YOU just need watermelon and NOLET’s Gin!
Silver Watermelon Cooler
Ingredients:
1.5 oz. NOLET’S Silver Gin
.5 oz. Elderflower Liqueur (Stumped on a brand? Try St. Germaine! It’s my favorite!)
.5 oz. Lemon Juice
.5 cup Fresh Watermelon
4 Basil Leaves
Method:
Muddle basil and watermelon in the bottom of a shaker.
Add ice and all other ingredients to the shaker.
Shake and strain into a goblet. Garnish with a basil leaf.
And in case you love this cocktail enough to invite a group of people over, think about this punch– enough for a big bowl or a very large watermelon shell punchbowl!
Silver Watermelon Sparkler
Ingredients:
750 ml. NOLET’S Silver Gin
750 ml. Sparkling Sake (Check out this page for several great sparkling sake wines.)
24 oz. Watermelon Juice & Fresh Watermelon Cubes
375 ml. Fresh Lemon Juice
375 ml. Agave Nectar
Method:
Stir all contents well in a punchbowl.
Make sure agave liquefies properly with the other ingredients.
Add watermelon cubes and a block of ice five minutes before serving.
I think these cocktails sound amazing. I am going to mix up one as soon as I get some Nolet’s Gin. No point in using another brand! I know that NOLET Gin is fantastic!
