Beauty Breakdown for Met Gala 2019! Celeb MUA Anton Khachaturian Gives You the Scoop on Lana Condor!

It may be fashion’s biggest night of the year, but To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before actress Lana Condor refused to let beauty take a back seat! Makeup artist Anton Khachaturian gave Lana glowing skin, ethereal eyes, and fluttery lashes to match her frothy pink Giambattista Valli couture dress.

Khachaturian started by moisturizing Lana’s skin with the Talika Photo-Hydra Day Moisturizer.

“The formula is super lightweight, but packed with hydration, and provides a beautiful surface for makeup,” he explains.

Next came the product he never leaves home without: Talika Eye Therapy Patches,

which make the undereye area “smoother, firmer, and brighter in just 15 minutes,” Khachaturian raves. “I placed them on Lana and got to work on her brows so they could really have a chance to perfect her under eye area.”

Lana’s brows were groomed with Talika’s magic wand: Eyebrow Lipocils Ink.

“Lana likes her brows to be defined but she never wants them to look too strong,” says Khachaturian, who went straight for Chestnut (“literally the perfect neutral!”) to fill in Lana’s brows and then used Deep Brown to create little, hair-like flicks for more depth. “The tip of the applicator is perfect and does all of the work for you,” he says.

When Lana’s eyes were prepped and ready, Khachaturian used a combination of Talika’s Beige and Porcelain Eye Detox Concealers, which “moisturize the undereye area while smoothing and depuffing,” he says.

He also used a touch of this color combination on the highlights of her face—on top of her cheekbones, a little down the center of the nose, as well as on the bow of her lips.

Lana’s lids got some love from Talika Eyeshadow Lift:“These shadows are not only stunningly beautiful, but also have fabulous skincare benefits,” says Khachaturian, who used a combination of the Nude and Pink shades to create a soft look. The inner corners got the same treatment for for a little extra sparkle. “I also snuck in a teeny bit of Hazelnut in the outer corners to create a little more depth,” he says.

For definition, Khachaturian used Talika Lipocils Liner.

“Lana didn’t want a heavy black liner look, so I used the very tip of the liner to create a razor thin line against her lashline,” he explains. “Since this product is designed to also promote eyelash growth, I am more than comfortable using a bit on the lashes as well! I used the tip of the applicator to clean up any fallen shadow—such a fantastic bonus!”

Lana wanted her lashes to be fresh and wispy, and Khachaturian knew that he could use a combination of Lashify Gossamers (clusters) to create exactly the look that she wanted.

“I decided on the ‘A’ Gossamer collection because I absolutely love their delicate yet strong nature,” he says. He used two 14mm Gossamers on the outside corners of Lana’s eyes and worked his way in by using two 12mm Gossamers in the center and then two 10mm Gossamers on the very inside corners. “This turned out to be the perfect combination to create the fluttery look that Lana and I both wanted for the Met Gala!”

Lana left for the red carpet thrilled with her look. We wouldn’t be surprised if she sent love letters to Talika and Lashify!
