I had lots of questions as I reviewed Jason Kozma’s website. I asked if I could send some questions and Jason was very nice to take the time to answer my questions.

For your personal training program, what could a client expect in terms of commitment to the program?
I expect 100% commitment to all aspects of my program if the client is coming in with a specific body transformation goal. That means showing up to all the workouts and giving 100% including following the nutrition plan and doing the cardio on their own time. It will vary for clients that are there for wellness, functional strength or other goals.
We saw the array of program options that you include such as boxing, yoga, and Pilates, etc. What are your program options? How do you integrate these options, particularly Pilates and yoga?
I don’t integrate them. I have trainers and instructors for Pilates and yoga and clients can sign up for those modalities instead of the usual personal training. For boxing, I have personal trainers that can integrate it into a normal training plan or focus on it completely and train like a boxer. If a client asks for the use of some Pilates or yoga yet not does them exclusively, I have trainers with expertise in those areas that I can match them with.
What is the age range of your clients?
I’ve had clients from 12 to 80 years old. Most clients are 30 to 60 years old. The healthful lifestyle I espouse has powerful anti-aging properties.
What is the average length of time that clients spend with you doing the program before achieving their goals?
From 8-16 weeks. Some clients have great results in as little as 3-4 weeks. They’re on my site. It all depends on where you are starting from in the program. I don’t over promise and under deliver so I usually recommend a longer prep time.
What does a fitness plan look like?
It’s usually 3 personal training sessions per week, a custom-designed nutritional plan and a fat-burning cardio assignment (if fat loss is part of the goal).
How does the online personal training work?
Online personal training clients get all the same tools that my in-person clients get – except they get a workout program for them to follow on their own instead of the personal training sessions. They still get a custom design nutritional plan and cardio assignment. Online training clients keep a diet and training diary and take weekly measurements to send to me which I review and make adjustments to the program as needed.

After achieving their goal weight and body, what does it take to maintain it?
Some semblance of the program has to be maintained. The eating format needs to be maintained but there are more food choices. Generally, the reduced body-fat level can be maintained with less cardio as well. I never recommend reducing weight training, however. I don’t see why anybody would want to.
