For those who love Star Wars….
The Final ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ trailer has arrived.
‘Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker’ Final Trailer: Rey Embraces Her Destiny
The last trailer before the release of “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” was released on Oct. 21, which is Carrie Fisher’s birthday and this year would have been her 63rd birthday.
The trailer is incredibly moving and action-packed from start to finish. This trailer is particularly important because this is the last movie in the Skywalker saga. For many of us, it’s the end of a dynasty that we have waited breathlessly for each chapter/movie.
Rey’s journey continues and she’s going to face threats from every corner.
Quote came from Hollywood Life:
“People keep telling me they know me. No one does,” Rey says in the trailer. Kylo replies, “But I do.” Palpatine rises again and looms over everyone. “Long have I waited, and now your coming together is your undoing,” he warns. But as Luke says, “Confronting fear is the destiny of the Jedi.” Rey is going to face fear right in the face. The final seconds of the trailer will leave you with goosebumps. “The Force will be with you,” Luke says. Leia adds, “Always.”
The film features both Daisy Ridley’s Rey and Adam Driver’s Kylo Ren.
In the previous trailer, the two went head-to-head in one jaw-dropping fight. It also appeared Rey may be turning to the Dark Side, but the trailer could have been teasing us. Kylo and Rey have had a connection since the moment they met and director J. J. Abrams will address it.
“J.J. does deal with [it],” Daisy told EW. “It’s a very complex issue. People talk about toxic relationships and whatever it is. It’s no joke and I think it’s dealt with really well because it’s not skimmed over.”
Though Carrie Fishe died in 2016, Princess Leia will be in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. The film will mark Carrie’s final appearance as the iconic character.
“The character of Leia is really, in a way, the heart of this story,” JJ said at D23. “We realized we could not possibly tell the end of these nine films without Leia. We realized that we had footage from Episode VII, and we could use it in a new way.”
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will be released in theaters on Dec. 20, 2019.
