If you have noticed that I have been featuring musicians of late, it’s because I know a lot of musicians and I want to feature them to increase their visibility because the Covid-19 Crisis wiped out their tour schedule for most of the rest of 2020. Musicians everywhere are feeling the “pain” of this event clearing their schedule (as well as eliminating their ability to make some dinero. I will be featuring more of these streaming concerts as they hit my radar.
MIKE VITALE
Mike Vitale is an LA -based musician who does a lot of streaming concerts. I got an email from Mike about his upcoming streaming concert schedule this weekend!
Mike Vitale is a great musician. I have known him for eons and listened to his music online, on CD and also live in concert.
He’s part Americana, part indie artist, a lot of acoustic and thoughtful songs. I love his work and he’s one of a cluster of musicians I have been following since 2007! He’s got several gigs coming up that are strictly streaming concerts and I am posting about this so everyone has the opportunity to check out his music.
From his email:
LIVE STREAMING
I have been live streaming quite a bit lately, which isn’t exactly out of the ordinary for me. My friend Kurt got me into Periscope a year or two ago. I started branching out into Facebook live and Instagram live, as well.
I met quite a few of you through these live streams, and realize the immense gravity of being able to connect with others from all over this planet through this technological marvel. It is contagious and quite beautiful. If this isn’t magic, I don’t know what is. If you have never tried it before, it’s a fun way to find new music. My favorite is a platform called Periscope, but they all have their merit.
MOST IMPORTANTLY! Times are changing. My bandsintown account now allows me the ability to advertise when I will live stream.
I am playing a special online music festival this Sunday, March 29 at 8:30 PM sharp on Facebook.
You can see the schedule for Saturday and Sunday for this event here: https://www.facebook.com/events/203259497440735/
You can click that image below right at 8:30 pm this SUNDAY. It will direct you to my Facebook “like page” where I will be performing.
The point of this festival is to help displaced artists with income. It is encouraged to donate to your favorite artists by either their Paypal or Venmo.
I wanted to take a moment to thank Susan, Robin, Sarah, Lisa and Jim, Taji, Wayne and Lilly with Hilltop Music Shop. My cup runneth over with love and gratitude for you. Words do not suffice. All of these people sent me money that, at the time, I didn’t know how badly I needed. I have food in my fridge right now because of you. I would be remise to mention that I take a great deal of pride in being able to make my own way through this world, making my living playing music—however, your unsolicited contributions helped to ensure my safety and good health. God bless you all.
I put a great deal of care and love into my live streams, ensuring the best sound I can muster in 2020. I broadcast in high definition audio quality running through Logic using the latest sound design software to ensure optimal broadcast. In other words, wear some headphones. You can’t hear bass on those wimpy little cell phone speakers.
You can also sign up to know when I will be doing special live streams in advance by following my Bandsintown app (see the list below).

This online concert that’s being streamed on Facebook is definitely worth your time. The marquee of performers is overwhelming. There are musicians I have written about in the last week that are playing this streaming concert. It’s a bargain to hear all these musicians.
And the music will be incredible
