I don’t know about you but I love blueberries. I love to get them fresh but when they are out of season, I get them frozen. They make great cocktails and if you are using frozen blueberries, it adds not only color and flavor but these are like tiny ice balls to chill your cocktail! Thanks to Oregon Fruit and Headwind Vodka, we have two new cocktails to share with you that will be not only colorful but super-tasty and smooth!

These new blueberries are in 100% blueberry juice –not from concentrate–and are low-sugar and perfect for a healthy lifestyle. Blueberry Lavender Lemonade– Makes one cocktail
Ingredients
1.5 oz Headwind Vodka
2-3 tablespoons Blueberry Lavender Syrup*
The juice of one lemon
Plenty of ice
Fresh lavender and a few Oregon Fruit Blueberries in 100% Blueberry Juice, for garnish
Method:
Shake or stir together the syrup, lemon juice, and vodka.
Add more of the syrup if you like a sweeter cocktail.
Pour over ice and garnish with lavender and several blueberries.
*Blueberry Lavender Simple Syrup:
Ingredients:
The juice from one can Oregon Fruit Blueberries in 100% Blueberry Juice (Berries reserved for another use)
2 Tablespoons honey
Several sprigs fresh lavender
Method:
In a small saucepan, heat blueberry juice, honey, and lavender until just simmering.
Remove from heat and allow it to sit for 20-30 minutes.
Strain out the lavender and chill in the refrigerator until use.
Blueberry Elderflower Sparkler –Makes one cocktail
Ingredients:
1.5 ounces Headwind Vodka
.5 ounce Elderflower liqueur, such as St. Germain
.5 ounce Oregon Fruit Blueberries in 100% Blueberry Juice, drained, juice from the can
(Save the Blueberries for garnish)
.5 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
2-4 ounces sparkling wine
Oregon Fruit Blueberries (saved), for garnish
Method:
In a cocktail shaker, combine the first 4 ingredients with ice.
Shake well, then strain into a chilled glass.
Place a few blueberries in the bottom of the glass,
Top off with sparkling wine.
