Today, most of the United States had a real wake-up call. Some were likely very unhappy but for a good majority of the United States, people were thrilled to find out that the Biden/Harris ticket won the 2020 election! Biden seeks to bring the country together as Americans.
Tonight (11/7), Biden provided a snapshot of his goals for the United States for the next four years. The goals also include an update of the ACA to become Biden-care, along with trying to get Covid-19 under control.. particularly tricky since the virus is surging at this time. The agenda is tricky but Biden is already putting together his team.

Biden’s projected presidential victory comes 48 years to the day of first Senate win
“It was 48 years ago today that Joe Biden first won his Senate seat here in Delaware and now 48 years later he’s heading to the White House,” Saenz said at the Chase Center in Wilmington, Delaware.
Some background: Biden, who was Delaware’s longest-serving senator, was elected to office in 1972. He was first elected to the Senate at age 29, defeating Republican Sen. J. Caleb Bogg,s and would win reelection in 1978, 1984, 1990, 1996, and 2002.
As a student, I was a history major with a specialization in “US History since 1945”. I was very aware that the history of the United States was changing often because the US was a global leader.. not just economically, but also in helping emerging countries, climate change issues, security issues, health problems, and more. As USSR dissolved into Russia and lots of smaller countries, it was an enormous change with rippling effects. Ditto the fall of the Berlin Wall. Disasters happen– and whether they are weather problems, economic challenges, or disasters caused by players who set off bombings or mass shootings, they are a measure of our willingness to stand up for the country, for our fellow citizens, and reach out to help.
I wish President-elect Biden and Vice-President Harris all the best.. the best of luck and that their plans, goals, and work are productive and are fruitful in achieving the goals they seek to accomplish!
I am just one of many who is very glad to see Joe Biden in the White House.. this time as the commander-in-chief!
