The cocktails I am featuring from Bushwick Kitchen are really amazing. While you might be in a real rush to try them with ingredients you have in your cupboard or pantry, you might want to take a few minutes and order some of the ingredients from BK because they are so much more flavorful and will deliver a much better cocktail!
BK BITTER BUTTER RUM

2.0oz aged rum
.75oz Amaro (sweet vermouth)
.50oz lemon juice
.75oz maple butter
3 shakes angostura bitters
Method:
Combine ingredients into a shaker with ice.
Shake and strain into a rocks glass,
Garnish with an orange peel and mint.
Tips on the BK Bitter Butter Rum cocktail:
Notes
· The cocktail is well balanced with citrus, oak, and buttery maple goodness.
· Recommended Aged Rums: Plantation Dark, Plantation 5 year, Flor de Cana 7 year, Zaya Zaya, El Dorado 8 Year, Appleton Estate Signature
Here are a couple of other rums to try: Ron Barcelo Rum, Rhum Barbancourt. Each of these has a unique flavor profile.
· Amaro’s to look for: Averna, Ramazzotti, meletti, Montenegro. If you cannot find Amaro, a quality sweet vermouth like (Dolin) would work as well.
Food Pairings
o Sharp Cheddar (Cabot), BK Gochujang Sriracha, Triscuit
o Cured Salami, Goat Cheese, BK Salted Honey, Ritz Cracker
BK LONDON DRY CURRY

Method:

Notes
· The cocktail is really interesting with layers of flavor. A backbone of curry and a touch of heat with citrus lime and an undertone of vegetal red pepper.
· Gin Suggestions: London Dry style Gin like Tanqueray or Beefeater. You want the sharp crispness of a heavy Juniper note.
Other Gin brands you can try include: Gray Whale Gin or Nolet Gin!
· Food Pairings
o BK Spicy honey-laced bacon, blue cheese (crumble or mousse)
o Sliced Strawberries, Balsamic Reduction, Chives
