Celebrate National Cocktail Day (3/24) with Cocktails from KÖE Kombucha and De La Calle!

 

 

 

 

Raise a glass because next Wednesday March 24 is National Cocktail Day! When you have the right ingredients, premium cocktails can be made easily right at home.

Here are some great cocktails that you can mix up easily at home.   Two brands that are probiotic kombuchas —De La Calle and KÖE Kombucha—  have provided some interesting cocktail recipes!

De La Calle is a modern take on Tepache – a probiotic beverage made from fermented pineapples, and one of the most traditional and beloved drinks found in Mexico.

 

 

–KÖE Kombucha is the only kombucha that’s fruit-forward, USDA Organic and packed with probiotics.

 

 

 

Both are delicious cocktail companions! Here are some ideas to get you started:

 

 

KÖE KOMBUCHA DRAGON BREEZE

Ingredients:

Method: 

Get a cocktail shaker and fill it with ice,
Add KÖE Raspberry Dragon Fruit, vodka, cranberry juice,  and lime to a cocktail shaker and stir.
Strain into a glass.
Garnish with fresh berries and Dragon Fruit if available.

For a booze-free experience, replace the vodka with 1 oz KÖE and 1 oz cranberry juice.

 

KÖE KOMBUCHA MANGO AMIGO

Ingredients:

  • 1 can KÖE Mango Organic Kombucha
  • 2 oz Vodka
  • Sliced Fresh Jalapeños & Lemon
  • Fresh Mint and Tajin (if you’re feeling extra adventurous)

Method: 

— Dip the glass into water, then into Tajiin  to rim your glass.
–Add KÖE Mango, tequila, ice and stir well,
–Garnish with slices of fresh lemon and mint,
–Pop a bamboo straw in the glass to finish.

–*For a mocktail, skip the tequila and add 1⁄2 oz. lemon juice.

 

 

DE LA CALLE T&T Highball

If you are wondering about what Tepache is, here’s some scoop on this favorite Mexican beverage:

Tepache is a fermented beverage made from the peel and the rind of pineapples, and is sweetened either with piloncillo or brown sugar, seasoned with powdered cinnamon, and served cold. Though tepache is fermented for several days, the resulting drink does not contain much alcohol.

Ingredients:

  • 2 Parts De La Calle Traditional Pineapple Spice Tepache
  • 1.5 Parts Blanco tequila
  • 1 teaspoon agave nectar

Method: 

  •  Get a shaker and fill with ice,
  • Combine  the Pineapple Spice Tepache with Tequila  and Agave,
  • Shake for at least 30 seconds and strain the cocktail into a glass
  • Garnish with a pineapple wedge, sprinkled with Tajin
