I am sharing a recipe from Strega Liqueur for an easy-to-make brew called THE WITCH WORD, inspired by the brand’s legendary origin story; Strega actually translates from Italian to mean a female witch!
The History of STREGA Liqueur:
The life of Strega Liqueur began in 1860, evoking the old legend that places the city of Benevento, Italy, where Strega originated, as the former seat of witches’ rites. It is stated, in fact, that witches, from all over the world, gathered at night around a magical walnut, and that they had created a magical potion that forever united the couples that drank it.

INGREDIENTS
0.75 oz Strega Liqueur
0.75 oz Gin
0.75 oz Maraschino Luxardo
0.75 oz Fresh Lime Juice
Method:
Shake with ice & strain into a cocktail glass
Pour the drink into a cocktail glass without ice.
Garnish with a slice of lime
About Strega Liqueur:
One of the most famous Italian liqueurs, Strega is known for its unique and unmistakable taste, thanks to the exclusive use of natural ingredients. Its processing starts with the grinding of about 70 herbs and spices selected from all over the world, each possessing unique properties. Among these herbs are Ceylon cinnamon, Florentine Iris, Italian Apennine Juniper, and Samnite mint. The liqueur gets its characteristic yellow color from the precious Saffron that is added to the herb distillate.
Strega Liqueur is aged in ash barrels to ensure a perfect blending, resulting in a 40% proof digestif.
