A Great Gift for Those Who Are Workout Junkies (or Anyone Else): iLive Cordless Massage Gun!
I have a confession to make. I am a workout junkie. I have gone through so many different types of workouts in over 15 years: aerobic dance, Tae Bo, step, cross-country ski machines, weight-bearing workouts, special ab machines, barre, martial arts, and a mini-trampoline. While some workouts were interesting, after a while I was BORED because of the repetitive nature of the workouts.
However, I noticed the more I worked out, that I found my muscles were getting really tight. I did the various cool-downs and stretching that the instructors demonstrated on the various workouts, but it wasn’t enough. My quads, shoulders, obliques, and even my neck and back muscles were spasming despite the stretching. I have used foam rollers to stretch out and “roll out” the tightness. It works for a while but the amount of time it takes to get the muscles to loosen up on a foam roller can be about 45-60 minutes. It takes a long time to stretch muscles, ligaments, and myofascial bands.
I got an email from a pr firm asking me if I would like to review a specific product from the iLive Brand: their iLive Cordless Massage Gun. At first, I wasn’t sure. I checked out the device online and saw that it looked pretty solid so I agreed to review it.

REVIEW:
iLive’s Portable Cordless Massage Gun is the perfect gift for gym lovers, those who have a home gym, or those who suffer from muscle spasms due to a health condition. That said, it doesn’t mean you have to be a jock or have a health issue to use it. Everyone in my house has tried it. This device is fascinating… if only because it’s fairly lightweight: not quite 2 pounds according to my postal scale! I tried all the different attachments. Some of the attachments are good for use across the board. Others aren’t so versatile. I tried every single way of using the different heads. The gun is easy to turn on and off. You can adjust the speed and amount of pressure the attachments will give you. I have done some at the max and some at the lowest level.
The worst thing I can say about the gun is that when the massage gun is on, it’s noisy. The more you increase pressure, the louder it seems to get. Other than that, I can’t find one thing to complain about.
I really like this massage gun. It’s quite useful. I used to have massages when I was dealing with back problems and I depended on those massages to give me some relief. The problem with the massages is that when I finally got home, the muscle spasms were acting up again. I had never tried a massage gun like this. I was always worried that it would make my back problems worse. When I was asked to do the review, I was concerned I would get worse because I didn’t know how much impact the gun had.
As I started using the gun, I found that I liked how it felt. At some points, I was asking my husband to use the gun on the areas of my back I can’t reach easily. My results were pretty amazing. I LOVE this massage gun. I get the same amount of relaxation when I use this gun as when I was on a massage table. The best part about the gun is that you can use it at home.. laying on your bed perhaps or sitting in your chair. When I did that, I got relaxed faster and often wanted to sleep post-treatment. I didn’t go full blast with the pressure. I can’t handle that much pressure. This gun would be very helpful for those people who don’t have to max out the pressure to get some good results. You might need to repeat the treatment to retrain the muscles to loosen up. I have used it for 10 minutes on my hips or quads and had great results. I could feel the muscles loosening up. I could use it for longer, but I want to find out the longevity of the time I use to and then add more time or stay at the given time for a while. I loved how it felt on my back. (talk about a heavenly experience!!). I have used it on my legs, hips, back, quads, shoulders, lower back, and on my neck. I used it on my neck carefully without a lot of pressure and my neck felt sooooooooo much better. Even my physician who is monitoring my back problems has noticed how much better my back is thanks to the massage gun.
iLive’s Portable Cordless Massage Gun is a real winner in my book. I am shocked. I have never had a massage gun before. And I haven’t had this much relief from a product used at home in many, many years.
