Season two of the wry British comedy, The Outlaws, from award-winning writer and director Stephen Merchant (The Office) and Elgin James (Mayans M.C.), premieres with all six episodes on Friday, August 5 on Prime Video.
Creator Stephan Merchanct was inspired by his mother doing community service and he came up with the show.
Writer Stephen Merchant has stated the idea for the show came to him as his mother used to do work overseeing community service, and thought about how having people from different walks of life placed into the same situation would make an interesting plot line.
Described as “a criminally fun watch,” the hit comedy thriller follows a disparate group of lawbreakers thrown together to complete a community service sentence. Seven strangers from different walks of life are forced to work together to renovate a derelict community center. Picking up a few months after the climax of Season One, in Season Two, the Outlaws still have time to serve on their sentences, but quickly realize the criminal underworld isn’t done with them yet—not by a long shot. This ragtag group of misfits’ shared past comes back to haunt them, in the shape of a terrifying London drug lord out for blood—The Dean.

EPISODE DESCRIPTIONS
Episode 1
Months after the first series, the outlaws still have time to serve on their sentences. But they discover the criminal underworld isn’t done with them yet — not by a long chalk.
Episode 2
In order to stay alive, the outlaws consider an unlikely— and dangerous — way of making money. Meanwhile, two familiar detectives turn their attention to a certain London kingpin.
Episode 3
The outlaws’ illicit business begins to run like a well-oiled machine. An old dog struggles to learn new tricks, and a protest erupts at the community center.
Episode 4
The outlaws meet a cook of sorts, and an unlikely date takes place at a pub quiz. Two outlaws have a very close call, while a ghost from the past induces an emotional reckoning.
Episode 5
Against the backdrop of a family reunion and a slap-up meal, the outlaws begin to believe their ordeal might be at an end. But can their tormentor be so easily satisfied?
Episode 6
Out of options and time, the outlaws must take extreme measures. With the eyes of the public and the police on them,, can they together pull off the con to end all cons?
