After selling tens of thousands of copies over the last ten years to an expansive readership, Lyon narrates the book to listeners
Relationship expert, Certified Coach, and Hypnotist Chris M. Lyon, who is certified in Applied Neuroscience and Brain Health, has released her popular relationship book “Leading and Supportive Love: The Truth About Dominant and Submissive Relationships” in an audiobook on Amazon, Audible, and iTunes!
Lyon initially wanted to write about dominant/submissive (D/s) relationships because it has always been her relationship orientation, even before she could define it.
“I wanted to be the best partner I could be, so I read books, attended classes and conventions, pursued mentoring and researched the topic heavily for many years. I worked with many clients who previously knew or realized they were D/s partners as well. I noticed a number of recurring themes in my work that had differences from non-D/s partners. I also found in my experience that there were more leader/follower partners and relationships than I had realized. What I had to share was regardless of lifestyle, it was focused on the foundational relationship itself.”
Lyon, who is also a Board Certified Hypnotist, narrates—but promises not to hypnotize audiobook listeners. “The audio version definitely hits differently; I’ve gotten many requests for it. I am the narrator, and it was quite an experience reviewing my book through spoken word. I’ve also gotten a ton of requests to be the narrator. Since I’ve been in radio and am a board-certified hypnotist, people say my voice is calming and pleasant.”
She jokes, “I won’t hypnotize anyone, but it’s my hope that people hear that I care about these relationships and I take this very seriously.”
Lyon has had her own coaching practice for over 23 years and has helped many people find the right partner for themselves, and helped facilitate many couples, including helping people get their relationship out of crisis. She also has been a speaker and educator, accumulating nearly 100,000 followers on social media.
Lyon has helped thousands of relationships recover and improve over her decades of practice with leading/supportive types and urges people not to wait until there is a crisis. “Couples are often not as patient, hopeful or resourceful at that point.”
Very few resources exist for understanding the behavioral foundation of D/s partners and relationships, yet there are more people who are leader/follower partners than many realize. “Despite how important relationships are to people, D/s partners aren’t getting the education and support that they could be getting,” Lyon advises.
