It’s Time to Celebrate Summer with Great Food!
I love going out to eat, I often try places that are recommended by a friend who also loves food too!
With June gloom behind us, Angelenos ( and those out of the greater
LA area) are craving a sun-kissed lunch under the “glowy sunshine”,
or a sweet breeze through a romantic patio dinner, can look no further. We’ve curated a list of the finest al fresco dining spots in Los Angeles, so you never miss a moment of the gastronomic paradise of the LA summer.
Whether you live in the San Fernando Valley or in Long Beach, there are great restaurants for you to try. After all we finally have some sunshine!
Bacari Sherman Oaks
Bringing Mediterranean-style dishes to the exciting Ventura strip, Bacari Sherman Oaks is the must-visit spot for diners looking to enjoy a tasty meal outdoors. Boasting two separate buildings with a European café vibe, guests can enjoy dinner
or brunch in a luscious landscape courtyard patio with a curated menu by Israeli-born Executive Chef-Partner Lior Hillel.
Bacari Sherman Oaks will feature signature dishes as well as new offerings like Taramasalata ($12), Papas Bravas ($11), and Lamb Hummus ($12), and a line of new summer mocktails.
Gracias Madre:
Nestled in the heart of the city, Gracias Madre in West Hollywood is a sun-drenched oasis. Guests can immerse themselves
in the urban garden full of greenery and cascading vines while lounging on some of LA’s chicest outdoor furnishings. Indulge
in the savory yet refreshing flavors of a plant-based menu crafted from locally sourced, organic ingredients within the rustic
and sophisticated ambiance of the Mexi-Cali fusion restaurant. For a relaxing lunch under the shade of aromatic olive trees,
try the refreshing Jackfruit Lettuce Cups ($18) with the creamy crunch of the Mushroom Quesadilla ($20). The
Gracias Madre patio also seamlessly transitions into a scenic evening of al fresco dining with built-in heaters and a bar area serving signature cocktails like the Purista Margarita ($17).
BOA Steakhouse
BOA Steakhouse is a long-time LA favorite for a reason—they have redefined the traditional American steakhouse into one of sexy and cool interior and unrivaled high-quality steaks. This summer, revisit the sophisticated hot spot and experience their distinguished take on al fresco dining. Whether it be at BOA’s Sunset Strip location in the heart of the city or the Santa Monica location with an ocean view, the BOA Garden seats guests in a luxurious selection of the signature BOA booths, shaded from the bustling city by a jungle of full-height hedges and lush florals. Guests can enjoy the luxury al fresco dining experience with a 21 Day Dry Aged Bone-In Ribeye ($71) along with a selection of their signature sides like the Lobster Mac N Cheese ($38).
Katana
Katana West Hollywood offers a unique and stylish outdoor patio perched atop the bustling cityscape. Combining the distinct ambiance of a dramatic candlelight and a panoramic view of the famous Sunset Strip, Katana is an essential hot spot where traditional sophistication meets the personification of the energetic LA nights. Serving imaginative Japanese cuisine, guests can indulge in their selection of traditional sushi and sashimi, or anything off the robata bar like the grilled avocado and A5 Wagyu.
For those looking to spend a fiery Sunday evening, Katana hosts a weekly Red Sun BBQ Garden featuring a Japanese robata style grilling experience and new summer cocktails like the Kyoto Dragon ($19).
