Yoplait Swap Tips: How to Get *Sizzle* from the Most Healthy Things in What You Eat!

It’s Yoplait Swap Time!! Here’s this month’s tips on what you could/should be trying in terms of swapping out food and how to work easy exercises into your routine.

It’s holiday time and you want a luscious but fast, easy dessert. Here’s one that could become your favorite and you will find it so easy to put together and kids will love it.

Recipe Baked Apples with Cinnamon Roll Yogurt (new flavor!!)

Ingredients:
4 medium apples,
1 container (6 ounces) Yoplait® Light Thick ‘n Creamy cinnamon roll yogurt,
1 teaspoon nutmeg ,
4 large marshmallows, cut in half .

1. Heat oven to 400 F. Cut each apple in half lengthwise; scoop out seeds and cores.

2. Spoon about 1 tablespoon yogurt into each of the apple centers. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Place filled apples in baking dish; add water to halfway up sides of dish.

3. Bake 30 to 40 minutes or until apples are tender. Set oven control to broil. Top each with a marshmallow half. Broil apples about 30 seconds until marshmallows are golden brown. Serve warm.

Smart Swap of the Week: This week, swap eating out of a package for eating directly from a plate or bowl. This will help you control your portion and avoid over-eating.

his week, swap mayo on a sandwich for avocado. You’ll still get the satisfaction of rich flavor and creamy texture, but with the bonus of those good monounsaturated fats. Meaning that green avocado works wonders for your skin as well as your diet. mash up about 1/4 to 1/2 of an avocado (depending on the size of the avocado) and spread it on the bread. Yummy!!!

Also an easy exercise swap. If you are hitting the malls for holiday shopping, skip the elevators and the escalators whenever possible and use the stairs. If you have time to shop early in the day or during dinner time at the mall, try speed-walking from store to store but map it out so that you alternate the store locations to opposite ends of the mall so that you can maximum walking time and distance. The dodging of other people actually improves your agility and if you pull in abs and glutes will improve those too.
