Who knew that on 10/10 — that would be a phenomenal event night? Ok– so Madonna was at Staples Center which is across from LA Live. That’s NOT why it was so fabulous. Napoleon Perdis was back in LA hitting TV and video interviews both in studio (Good Day LA) and also on site in the LA Live Plaza for demos, interviews and the ability to purchase hot brand new products from the NP Set for Target collection for holiday.
What’s not to love about that? You could get your “look” kicked up a couple notches (or more) courtesy of the Napoleon Perdis makeup artists in tents. With 3-4 artists per tent and looking at about 4 tents of artists plus a spot to buy products and check out cool stuff, it was ONE BUSY DAY at LA Live!!
“Hotel Fig” across the street from the Terrace (it’s on the fifth floor)
City Skyline looking north into downtown LA and towards the Hollywood Hills.
For bloggers, it’s even more fun when you get sent an invite to a soiree with Napoleon Perdis himself and some of his staff to be there at the Target Terrace with a view of the city to just hang out and have cocktails, check out the entire latest collection and schmooze with other bloggers and friends.
It was a great event with acrobats that looked like they were with Cirque de Soleil (or not) doing all kinds of stunts on various poles– sometimes solo, sometimes together.
The lighting and decor for the event was in pink, purples, red and fuschia– and very little white light. So rather than me be purple, I took this photo black and white.
This acrobat was doing this repeatedly (hanging like a flag) for everyone.

With great nibbles and killer cocktails it was definitely a fun night. Lots of people, everyone wanting a photo with Napoleon– here are a couple:

We all walked away with great little goody bags that included a colored lip balm
along with a great moisturizer and a toner for balancing the skin.
For just about 2 hours we had a blast– ok it was more than 2 hours! Afterwards, we hung out at LA LIVE and people-watched (and watched them tear down the NP SET in the Plaza. LA Live is really a unique place.
It was a great event and an awesome opportunity to talk to Napoleon– I had a few minutes one on one since it had been about 4 years since we had seen each other. He’s flying all over the globe, He did talk about launching at Nordstroms as well as the products for Target and lots going on!!
Loved the party– it was so much fun to tweet & post photos (more of mine are on twitter). The biggest surprise of the night– the cost of parking! (Don’t park at LA Live! Park at other parking lots within walking distance. $25. for 3 hours! YIKES!)
