The first requirement for a bug repellent is that it be Deet-free. Deet is a chemical still used in some bug repellent and it has some really negative outcomes if you use a bug repellent with DEET. DEET is very corrosive and can dissolve durable materials such as plastic, nylon and even paint. I like that it comes out as a white liquid so you can see where it is on your skin and rub it in. Once it hits your skin, it sinks in fast. You don’t have to worry about it being too slippery on your skin. I use this product daily when I take my dog walks (2 dogs, each getting their own walk) and I don’t get bit by mosquitoes or other bugs. It works beautifully as a bug repellent!
