MAC Partners with Disney for “Venomous Villians”; Collection Disappears in a Flash Online & In-Stores. Part 1

 What’s not to love about MAC?  Who hasn’t seen tons of Disney movies growing up– and anyone having a kid has been to their share of Disney flicks.  Pair up MAC & Disney and you get astonishing results in products and presentations!! Thus the MAC + Disney collaboration of Venomous Villians was born — and quickly disappeared as fast as the spells of these villains!

A potion to poison, an apple to bite, a spell to cast… Bad never looked so good. A crystal ball of colour created from our favourite Disney Venomous Villains, inspired by the three most infamously frosty, fabulous and formidable of Disney’s dark ladies… and one dastardly Dr. Facilier. Don’t you love it?

A MAC and Disney collaboration to celebrate the dark side in every one of us, in a glamorous sort of way. Who’s the fairest one of all? Four separate mini-collections, in haute animated couture. The incomparable Cruella De Vil and Snow White’s Evil Queen are dazzlingly devilish; Sleeping Beauty’s Maleficent and The Princess and the Frog’s DR. FACILIER, both up to no good on their own. Uniquely designed iconic packaging you will kill for, cunning characters and bedeviled beauties that are so alluring, you can’t help but wonder what it would be like to be one!

Each mini-collection is amazing and has some permanent and limited edition colors.. but the colors were cued from the cells of each movie and not just the dark colors of evil creatures– so there’s a lot to work with – providing you can find it.

Just as the collection launched I was invited to participate in a huge media event at South Coast Plaza and  it was beyond “beyond” in fun and just going outside oneself. (That I was heading to Disneyland that day gave the collection more of a connection and underscore). So this post is all about the event. The post tomorrow will feature photos of the collections– in an abbreviated presentation because I will provide you with links to the different collections– at brick and mortar stores because it’s sold out on the MAC online site.

Every media person got to dress up as a character or two (or three or four) Moi as Cruella. (the only odd thing here is that I am petite and slim and the coat, the wig and the glasses– I look like a kid in mommy’s clothing. But I did deliver the ‘tude they wanted!)
