It’s the big day– and it’s the perfect day for some interesting cocktails. WHY? Because it’s Christmas and why suffer through eggnog and other traditional drinks when you can have something SPECIAL!!!
Courtesy of the Lexington Social House here in Los Angeles, these three drinks should be fun .
Under the Mistletoe
1 oz rum (Bacardi, Ron Abuelos, Cruzan, or other HIGH END rum)
½ oz apricot liqueur
1 oz simple syrup
1 oz lime juice
Dash of bitters
Serve in a Collins cocktail glass on ice
Garnish with a sprig of mint
Holiday Happiness
1oz vanilla vodka (Stoli, Absolut, Three Olives or any other NICHE brand. You don’t want something that’s not seriously great unless you did it yourself)
1/2 oz pumpkin syrup
1/2 oz Baileys Irish Cream
1/2 oz cream
Shake and strain into an orange sugar rimmed champagne coupe
Starry Night
2 oz fig infused cognac
1 oz triple sec (orange flavored)
1 oz fresh lemon juice
Pitch of brown sugar
Shake and strain into a champagne coupe
Garnish with a lemon twist
You might have to do some infusion on the fig infused cognac. Do try some higher end brand: Remy Martin, Hennessey, and others!

I love the idea of ‘starry night’, though I doubt I’d have the patience to infuse cognac;)
