Sweet Suite Smell of Success
TGIF!! So glad it’s here! It’s been such a busy week and I feel like I have had 3 weeks rolled into one and still more to come.
I love to find new products. It’s such a thrill. It’s even better when they smell great and I can walk away carrying the memory, the event on me in the form of fragrance. It’s the creation of an olfactory memory that no matter when I smell it again, I am instanteously transported back to a series of events.
One of my favorite cult fragrance collections is Eau De YOSH. Yosh’s journey to becoming a parfumer mets aromachologist is one worthy of telling but perhaps saved for later after you have experienced these exquisite scents. Yosh’s journey took her to various places and she mastered this fine art of creating both scent and ambiance married with the ability to affect emotion and transform mood.
YOSH’s Luxury Elements collection is what she is most well-known for though she does signature scents aka custom blending. This Luxury Elements Collection is comprised of six highly unique fragrances:
- Sottile 1.61–Italian for subtle, this understated elegant fragrance is an essence of Lily of the Valley and Tea Rose for a soft sweetness yet deftly confident.
- WhiteFlowers 1.41– This all white bouquet is so quintessentially feminine yet so sophisticated; delicate yet embodies the essential elements of white flower and eternal love. This fragrance includes a complex bouquet of Jasmin Sambac, Nightblooming Jasmin, Violet, Sweet Pea, Freesia, Tea Rose, Rose Maroc, Gardenia Soft, Lily of the Valley, Soft Lilac, and Egyptian Tuberose. It’s tweaked with a bit of green notes –Siberian Fir, Narcissus, and Petitgrain– to create an exquisite balance.
- U4EAHHH! 2.43–possibly one of Yosh’s most well-known scents and it’s just as it sounds: euphoric and amazing. Providing enchantment with her inimitable touch of blending Pomegranate, Cucumber, Aloe Vera, Pear and Waterlily, the vegetable scents marry well with the tart sweet freshness of the pomegranate and subtle grace of the waterlily.
- Ginger Ciao 2.27– is a spicy blend that entices, entrances and ensnaress the unsuspecting! As Yosh describes it, it’s an archetypal heroine of bewitching talents — full of daring and charisma and not afraid to walk to the edge and beyond yet also shows off a more capitvating spirit and intelligence that is sure to ensnare even beyond the initial elements of the exotic East. Essences include Arabian Sandalwood, Ylang Ylang, Black Coconut, Neroli, Tiger Lily, Night Queen, Ginger and Basil. This scent has a huge fan-base!

- Stargazer 7.71– is a fresh green scent is both smooth yet lively. The Kenya Stargazer Lily blended with White Ginger gives just enough pop to make it work on men as well as women. It’s perfect for sunrise watchers as it is for those who love to stay up light spotting shooting stars in the heart of the night.
- Omniscent 0.96– is possibly Yosh’s most versatile scent for all occasions and both sexes. It has both an airy fragility and yet has that spicy "pop" that will attract interested parties like bees. Men and women who wear this scent comment on how "magnetizing" it is to the opposite sex. This combustible confection is composed of Gardenia, Egyptian Tuberose, Fig, Lilac, Violet, Kush, Turkish Opium (!), Vanilla, Sandalwood, Basil, Clove and Geranium.
While these lovely scents can be purchased and worn on their own, it’s very hard to choose and often as not, they are worn in layers–mixed according to whim and bellweather.
