BIONOVA Hits LA– and the rest of the US

Bionova  isn’t a new line for me to discuss but what I am going to tell you about today is the LA roadtrip to  Barneys New York, Beverly Hills to meet with Dr. Fayda,  the head aesthetician and one of the MD’s behind this line.  I was able to snag some time with this MD+ aesthetician to talk to her about the line.  This 60-something petite woman has  no lines on her face or neck. NONE.. zero zip, zilch–thanks to Bionova skincare. Her skin is amazing– beautiful, no sun damage, no age spots, no lines. (and she’s really nice too). Dr. Fayda is the person who does the facials at the Bionova facial events. Today’s event in LA was the first for  the Barneys NY Beverly Hills store. Barneys  NY in Manhatten has these events every third Sunday in NYC.  (hello NYC girls!!! FREE Bionova facial at Barneys every third Sunday!!)

One of the cool things about Bionova is that it’s not just one skincare line, it’s four.

  • N1 is the custom blend that can be done via the web, on the phone or done at Barneys stores. It’s a real custom blend directed to your specific needs and age. It has the cutting edge technology of the delivery system and the Nano-technology to allow key ingredients to reach and affect the core level of skin where changes will take place. Place your order and about 48 hours later, this box o’ goodies drops on your doorstep!

The other lines are customized according to the following criteria: gender, age group, skin type  and problem area. So there  is no mass "fixit" product for both men and women in all age groups and covering all skin. The formulas get very specific and there’s even a different blemish fighter for dry skin than for oily skin!  (finally!)

  • Spa  is a new line just for spas. It’s both a retail product that you can take with  you that is customized skincare  ( but not specific to your skin)  but has the same efficacy as the N1 and the same technology with all the high-tech ingredients.  It’s also available for spa facial use and that’s what’s key. Not only are you buying a great product line; it’s also what’s being used on your skin for your facial and your aesthetician will make specific recommendations for your personal skincare situation.  From facial to home use, the skincare is completely consistent!

  • Impact is a also a customized skincare line that’s sold at Barneys NY and online. Impact provides an efficacious  blend of therapeutical and bio-effective ingredients with the same nano-technology and delivery. It follows the same criteria as SPA line but in some instances, there may be a touch less active ingredient because there is no professional supervision of your regimen. (Now that’s a good reason to hit the spa and also get some Impact products too). According to Barneys NY  counter manager Brian  Flathers in Beverly Hills,  the Impact line basically sells itself. Because it’s age specific, you see more potency of certain ingredients at different age levels.

According to Brian, the truly fragrance free line is selling like gang busters and it only takes the side by side test of the  Superior Eye Lift cream to sell anyone (particularly the 60+ group)  on the amazing efficacy of the product line.

"You can see the changes when you apply the Eye Lift to one under eye area and not the other. It’s a visible difference in a matter  of minutes"

  • Sport is for those who engage in sports and have related skincare problems– particularly tennis.

  • Bio1 Act Care  is a high quality, over the counter skincare line that’s not as customized as the previous 3 lines. It features the same fab  ingredients and delivery system but just not the customized  brew according to age, skintype, sex etc.

What Flathers loves about the product line is the clean, almost herbal, smell of the products. " There’s no fancy fragrances–just good for your skin ingredients."  Flathers  confided that he tells clients that Bionova is  " like good healthy food for your skin. You are what you wear!"

It’s true! Dr. Fayed  and the other scientists/MDs behind this line are the creators of skincare that is revolutionary in its ability to affect skin at the molecular level.
