A Rampage n Fashion: RAMPAGE Stores
During Los Angeles Fashion Week, LA is insane. It’s essentially a large insane asylum as people run (or drive) like crazy people back and forth between from LA to Culver City, locale of Smashbox Studios where most of the shows are held. Some are in other venues close to that location; some are downtown and some are at hotels sprinkled like so much confetti across the city. Even the suites at the Beverly Hilton for the small companies that really want to just show products to buyers and media is at least 30 minutes away from Smashbox–with no traffic; its 60+ minutes at rush hour! Add valet parking (and a horrendous wait to retrieve said vehicle) along with not very much food and very strong drinks.. and no shopping available. Sigh. What’s a girl to do when all she has seen is great clothes, beautiful apparel and more fab stuff to wear? It can be hard to take (bigger sigh)
When an opportunity presents itself to actually SHOP for clothing and do it with drinks, snacks and oh yeah, celebrities and a DJ in a hot store like Rampage Beverly Center, well a girl NEVER says no! I was lucky enough to snag an invitation that included a chance to snag some great "of the moment" clothing that’s perfect for Oct through January and beyond (choose wisely!)
The invitation came in big box of clothing: shoes, earrings, t-shirt, tank and pants–perfect So Cal loungewear.
So off I went heading from the Beverly Hilton suites where I ran through so many rooms and still didn’t see everyone and headed to the Beverly Center where it’s 7 stories of cars and stores! Off to floor 6 to find the Rampage store that is closed to the public for the evening and full of people!
I got a couple of snacks (thankfully some wonderful person had taken me to lunch at Maple Drive so I wasn’t starving) and picked up a drink and ran into a couple of friends who I always see at these sort of things. Typically you don’t see other media and writers except at these type of events where you stop, catch up on the gossip and slurp a couple tasty drinks. That night was no exception and the drinks and food were fab and the store just made it feel like a huge dress-up party where you get to try clothing that had just hit the floor –perfect for holiday parties. The photo below shows just a fraction of the people who were at the store.
So off we went to cruise the store; pull clothing and coordinate outfits with lovely help from the wonderful Rampage sales associates .
As you can see there’s a lot to see and try-on! It was really fun because while I can be overwhelmed by the choices, I eventually got down to the very serious business of shopping! Here’s a celebrity who was loving this very cool coat. Isn’t it great ? It has great embellishments and that Russian romantic vibe going for it.
This very cool hooded vest absolutely inspires LA to embrace shearling despite that night was exceptionally warm. It’s perfect for layering or wearing over a tank. It’s being worn by Angelin from the singing group ABC
Here’s a celebrity moment for you: Amy Bruckner(Malcolm in the Middle and Rebound the film)
She was obviously having a great time.
Other celebrities who attended included Bobby Trendy, Jennifer Tisdale, Chef Brian (the brains behind the food), the singing group ABC, Ashley Tisdale, Brenda Song, Vanessa Bell Calloway, Jordan Claire-Green, stylist George Blodwell, Cece Galvin, Joy Miller, Christopher Celona, Doug Downing, Erin Lokitz, Jason Quins.

Shoes! Rampage has everything you need in one store from camis to jeans; coats to sweaters; pants to jewelry; shoes, boots and handbags and everything in between.
Lauren Storm was caught checking out this cool tie-dye number
Here’s another celebrity checking out this awesome shearling style vest
Of course MORE shoes. A girl can never have too many shoes!
I wound up getting this amazing blue grey double breasted velvet military style cropped jacket and an gorge cami in ivory with gold metallic thread running through it. It was great together. My friends all got different kinds of things but it was hard to choose because there was so much great stuff at Rampage.
I had never shopped there before but now I am going to head down to South Coast Plaza and do my own fashion RAMPAGE at Rampage. It’s a great store to get on trend styles for a fraction of what you would pay at Saks, Neiman Marcus, the high end boutiques like Scoop or even Bergdorf. I am all about saving money– particularly when I am spending it!
(Ask me about bargain hunting for the fashionista. I am all over that one!)
Thank you to the people at Rampage and Kimberly Goodnight who puts on an amazing party
